  1. Summer on May 1, 2008 at 3:42 am

Oh, that’s nice : “The requested video cannot be displayed in your region”.

  2. analoggirl on April 26, 2008 at 11:54 am

Oh, the irony. You directed all non-U.S. users to a site that doesn’t allow for international copyrights.

Maybe I’ll post in your U.S. election thread. As Andizzle stated, U.S. politics affects the rest of the world – especially your neighbours to the north. πŸ˜‰ Thanks for that subprime fiasco, by the way. haha

  3. Noe_Kenji on April 26, 2008 at 3:21 am

I still having problems to watching it 😦 Impossible to be played

  4. shinoda_me on April 25, 2008 at 11:26 pm

    YOURCONSCIENCE… thanks =) .. but i still wanna watch it … oh well …

  5. AmyLynette_91 on April 25, 2008 at 8:52 pm

man i cant wach.. its not available in my country

  6. YourConscience on April 25, 2008 at 1:22 pm

Okay, here’s the deal on the video…

It’s a SNL skit. “Laser Cats 3-D *not all scenes in 3-D”… Laser cats are now illegal – everyone must turn in their laser cats. All but two men comply. Just as they’re about to turn theirs in, the “mayor” who revoked everyone else’s laser cats plans to take over the universe. These two guys finally make it to the corrupt mayor, who brings out… A laser dog! Then there’s this adorable scene where a little pug fights a cat (not violently, mind you). They release the captive laser cats, who detroy the mayor. The two guys become heros. And that, my friends, is al that you’ve missed out on. Haha.

  7. Andizzle on April 25, 2008 at 12:12 pm

Hey Mike, why not open up that discussion on voting to non US citizens aswell? Unfortunately America has so much power that their choice of president affects the whole world.
Like me, for example, I live in Ireland but the new president will affect me in relation to the peace process and power sharing agreements in Northern Ireland, and the topic of US troops landing in Shannon airport in the west of Ireland, thus destabilising out neutrality.
I’m wondering will the new president change that?

  8. Yuki on April 25, 2008 at 12:06 pm

it says: the requested video cannot be played in your area.
oh noooooooo whats going on? >_<

  9. Shinizzle3 on April 25, 2008 at 10:56 am

damn “the requested video cannot be displayed in your region”–>fucking germany^^^
but with the help of the comments i realized that it is 3d and it’s about laser cats wooow

  10. wsp on April 25, 2008 at 10:39 am

That laser cats sketch reminded me of this old MadTV sketch…

    Prehistoric Glamazon Huntress AD

And for some fun… a little 24 with Bobby Lee…

  11. rockermeg on April 25, 2008 at 9:17 am

Who cares? You know whoever gets it is just gonna make a mess of it-Obama already has! In one of his speeches did you not realise he reffered to Hilary as “President Clinton”-makes me glad I live in the UK-every canditate is the same here!

  12. axrinekey on April 25, 2008 at 7:42 am

    I can’t enter the website you gave… o_o
They say it’s not available in your region. /:

I hope I can watch the video since you posted it…
    but I’m underage. lol.

  13. maria on April 25, 2008 at 7:04 am

Sorry but I couldn’t see this video) Though I’m 20) And it can’t be played in my region( what a damn(. It goes about voting? I understood it from the comments below) Well, people vote for their future and it’s very important. It’s like a debt someone must do according to law)

  14. shinoda_me on April 25, 2008 at 5:44 am

Mike didn’t ask whom who’d like to vote for … he merely wanted to know ppl’s views on voting …. doesnt make sense to me why people dont vote … they just end up getting a govt. they hate when they may have rather tried for someone who might have been hated less… fucked up world … rarely anyone solves problems .. its considered great to not add to the existing problems … then why am i not president yet? i could be very talented at being idle.. (sigh) … vote people vote …

  15. zahra on April 25, 2008 at 4:51 am

OBAMA……!!!! if i was 18 i would have voted to him but im not 18 and im not in us now…….hey i cand go to myspace ITS BLOCKED ! are stupid internet …I HATE IT!!(they block every thing!)

  19. shinoda_me on April 25, 2008 at 1:56 am

YOURCONSCIENCE… you are MY CONSCIENCE … don’t reveal those things without prior permission =P

  20. YourConscience on April 25, 2008 at 1:54 am

SHINODA_ME says: “…today i REALLY wish i were 18+ and in USA…” But YourConscience thinks that she just wishes she had the same opportunities to enjoy Mike and his posts that an 18+ US resident does…

  21. shinoda_me on April 25, 2008 at 1:22 am

is there any way to check if the video isn’t available to non-USA residents? (the person checking being a resident of US i mean) … cuz if there is Mike, please stop posting links that others can’t view … we’re missing out on all the awesome stuff you’re posting .. thats the second link i couldn’t view in a day .. man, today i REALLY wish i were 18+ and in USA… =((

  22. shinoda_me on April 25, 2008 at 12:59 am

no, wait a minute … didnt you say we could post here on what we think? YAY!
    lemme speak it then …
i think people should exercise their righ to vote … cuz most of the times its because of the fact that “all governments fuck up responsibilities they have” that people end up not voting at all … i mean CHOOSE THE LESS FUCKED people!!! atleast you get less percentage of bad stuff (saying more percentage of good doesn’t sounds like lying)

  23. shinoda_me on April 25, 2008 at 12:55 am

“its mine its mine its mine

keep it moving on this thread. good stuff.

and if you’re not from the US and not 18+, go post comments on my blog instead.

Mike, i was half expecting you to apologise and open the thread to ALL … dont you want an opinion from younger folks? =(
im one year away from being able to vote….

  24. YourConscience on April 25, 2008 at 12:53 am

Haha. MAJOR PROPS to Mike for making an appearance on this insane thread that he’s started. =D Oh, and since he didn’t tell me I’m an idiot and I need to stop posting… That’s right – y’all shall not be spared my insanity just yet. =)

  25. shinoda_me on April 25, 2008 at 12:15 am

YOURCONSCIENCE… spoil it i say!!! just tell us! πŸ˜›
those who haven’t seen it dont go to the comments section (most of the times) .. im too lazy to go to the first page of comments…
(or maybe i should say pretty mad at this point of time ..)
    tell me .. HERE!? please?

  26. shinoda_me on April 25, 2008 at 12:09 am

btw … you can stand in the elections …. you’d beat those 2 you know …
“is Obama gonna be the first black in the white house?” .. “No! Mike is the next white entering the white house ..”
ps – just being a fan … not a racist (im NOT white)
maybe if you don’t want to be a politician, just let the others know who you’re voting for …rest assured that the person wins
AND IM STILL MAD AT YOU MIKE!!! X-( grumbles

  27. YourConscience on April 24, 2008 at 11:41 pm

For those of you who can’t see the video (because apparently YouTube discriminates against regions outside of the US), it’s just a video clip from a skit they did on SNL… If you want the details, send me a message, and I’ll descibe it to you. Haha. (I’d explain it here, but I don’t want to spoil it for those who haven’t seen it yet)

It’s nothing special anyhow… Why don’t you all try and check out BEC’s link? (the first page of comments) I’m not a SpongeBob fan, but this was actually kind of entertaining. =)

  28. shinoda_me on April 24, 2008 at 11:00 pm

“let’s have some fun. i’m going to start by laying down some rules for participating in this thread:

    1.) voting-age US citizens only (age 18+)
2.) be respectful and courteous. disagreements will happen, but keep it smart and respectful.

here’s what i want to know:
    are you voting? why?
    what issues matter to you?

let’s not talk about WHO you’re voting for. let’s talk about whether or not you’re going to be participating, and what matters to you…and don’t talk to me, talk to one another.

you better post something in compensation for people who neither have the benefit of posting there nor can see the video … grrr,,

  29. shinoda_me on April 24, 2008 at 10:54 pm

… and can somebody please tell me whats in that video? cuz im dying of curiosity! PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE?? for the benefit of us folks who live in regions where this dear dear video cant be viewed =(

  30. shinoda_me on April 24, 2008 at 10:52 pm

YOURCONSCIENCE… Dear Clare, if Mike said anything like that to me, i’d be like “WOOHOO!” even before i can think about what he actually MEANT… cuz we’re talking about his awesomeness over here =P so yeah, my point is, if i get to know that Mike personally asked you to shut up thats the beginning point of my rants XD

  31. shinoda_me on April 24, 2008 at 10:48 pm

why is it that im in a region that misses out on some of your cool stuff? =(

  32. ArielCahen on April 24, 2008 at 10:30 pm

    congratulations for starting this debate.
i think all the americans, specially the kids voting for the first time, really need it.

  33. Sashy on April 24, 2008 at 9:27 pm

Laser cats won’t work in my region, I feel like I am severely missing out on something cool. Can anyone find it on youtube?

  34. akitagirl on April 24, 2008 at 8:46 pm

kudos Mike – for starting this post. I think this will very likely be one of the most important elections we have had to date. We are in a war with no hope of ending, our economy and the planet are in real trouble. If there was ever a time to have a voice and vote – it would be now!!!!!

  35. cDizzle185 on April 24, 2008 at 8:46 pm

  36. nillp on April 24, 2008 at 7:36 pm

i’m not a us citizen, but i’m kind of into US election; and i support Obama..

^i think that he can improve even more the us..^

the video isn’t working now; so i’m going to back here later. πŸ˜‰

take care; love ya ~ mk’nil

  37. YourConscience on April 24, 2008 at 6:09 pm

Apparently, I still haven’t learned that you can’t get through to people who don’t want to be reached, especially online, where emotions can easily get lost in translation… Mike, if you tell me I’m an idiot and I need to stop posting, I promise I’ll spare everyone my insanity…

  38. navee on April 24, 2008 at 4:46 pm

race marketing!!!1 i cant see it on my region!!! I’M MEXICAN!! WTF!!!?? wich by the way also happend at your you tube channel whats up with that mike???

  39. PinkWater3 on April 24, 2008 at 4:25 pm

I’m from Canada so can’t answer your question on the LPMB, even if we are very aware of the US elections. It was about time you posted on there though, people missed you a LOT.
As for the video, “The requested video cannot be displayed in your region”. Is it some kind of discrimination? YouTube hates me too.

  40. Jaclyn on April 24, 2008 at 3:03 pm

hehe Sure if you feel you should vote than do it, maybe there’s some sense in it which I dont see xxx

  41. Jaclyn on April 24, 2008 at 3:03 pm

I’m not american but I’m an adult anyway. I’ve voted once when I was 18 just for fun and never ever after that. I do believe : the politics depend on economy, economy depends on solar activity and few big men rule the Earth, the wars will last untill it is profitable, elections and voting is a lie. So what? Just live and learn and follow your own way to happiness in spite of the outer life, develop your inner life and don’t let some conditions ruin your peace of mind. The more obstacles you’ll surmount the more wonderful person you’ll become. Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a stroke of luck (that’s about what you wish from your candidates).

  42. Anstice on April 24, 2008 at 2:48 pm

Already posted on the LPMB before you even put this up on your site. LMFAO at the real cats in Laser Cats. Poor things :p RAHAHA! That puppy was so cute.

  43. YourConscience on April 24, 2008 at 2:21 pm

I didn’t obey either, but just because I wanted stress relief from all of this political… “stuff”…

  44. soyuneik on April 24, 2008 at 2:16 pm

I didn’t obey your age requirements πŸ˜› and decided to go to both. I’m in the middle of something so I don’t really have time to talk politics just get. (Also my horoscope told me to keep my mouth shut today-I don’t really wanna test it). Yes, completely objective.
Do you have any tricks as far as synchronizing midi from the mpc into cubase or protools? ugh…I’ve tried everything. Empty bars, running it thru another device,.. Either my computer takes over and then freezes or it records off beat. I’m resourceful, but no one seems to know. Nothing on the internet either. Heard logic can but I’m dealing with pc. ..and you use mac… But maybe, just maybe you heard something. …lol..

  45. cynthia on April 24, 2008 at 2:06 pm

yeah i would love to vote.. but i’ll be turning 18 two months after november. kinda irritated about that, but not much i can do… so i’ll enjoy laser cats in the mean time. laser cats is one of the funnier things on snl lately!

  46. Kira on April 24, 2008 at 1:57 pm

I don’t post on LPMB, so I’ll just say here what I would’ve said there. First, let me start by saying that I am 18, although I’ll be 19 by November. Will I vote? Yes. Why? Because I feel it’s necessary and, as a Black American from the South, abusing that right is a slap in the face to those who came before me who did not have the same opportunity. My granddad was born in 1924 and he didn’t vote for the first time until the 1972 election because of Jim Crow laws, poll taxes, etc. He’s voted in every election since and he’s excited as fuck for this one. Final question: Which issues matter? That’s a tough question. I can’t decide which is top priority for me.

  47. Kira on April 24, 2008 at 1:57 pm

As an American, I’m concerned with the economy, healthcare, and security. I’m anti-war and concerned with Iraq. As a student, I’m concerned with education and possibly making it cheaper. I go to NYU and my bill for the fall semester alone was $26,081.68 including tuition, housing, meal plan, registration fees, student health insurance, etc. If there’s a candidate that can make education more affordable, I don’t care if (s)he’s Democrat, Republican, whatever, I’m backing them. As a resident of Earth, I’m concerned with energy & the environment. As a Black American Southerner who is well aware of past injustices and can’t help but notice current ones, I’m concerned with civil rights.

  48. Kira on April 24, 2008 at 1:56 pm

I could continue. Urban policy, foreign policy, seniors & social security. The list goes on and on. And apparently so have I. I did not intend to say this much. In response to the second link, I enjoyed Laser Cats 1 & 2, but couldn’t find amusement in the third. It’s like the Austin Powers trilogy. Also, I’m obsessive, so I arranged this to be read from top to bottom.

  49. lp_fm_fan on April 24, 2008 at 1:51 pm

    Posted there.

I’ll post the same thing here though…

I’m not 18 right now but I will be when voting time comes, I will not vote though. None of the candidates appeal to me, so I’m not gonna vote.

  50. KATHYxx on April 24, 2008 at 1:30 pm

    lol..laser cats.

i posted over there btw… if you wanted that.

  51. shana on April 24, 2008 at 1:16 pm

Same from the UK & unable to view the clip (so sad) it has something to do with the laser cats if you haven’t seen it check it out on you tube, It’s the 3rd part. P.s That Myspace video says that “Isnt available in you country"...

  58. Curiosa on April 24, 2008 at 11:55 am

Hey, I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but u know how the Democratic race is so close that the Democrats are worried that because of it (& what’s being said) McCain will end up having leverage over the winner. Also I don’t know if u’ve been paying attention 2 the NBA West Conf. but the teams are so good this season that the race has been very tight. So tight that a commentator concluded that by the time the winner plays against the East (most likely against the Celtics (great team)) the team will be so tired that they may not be able to really challenge the winner & may end up losing. This is the 1st time I’ve paid so much attention to both politics & basketball. lol

  59. Curiosa on April 24, 2008 at 11:53 am

Well Mike, I would but wittynamehere & I have already discussed politics on fmmb what’s on the news? thread. I’ve said all I have to say. :)~
