    Amen, indeed.

  2. rockermeg on June 23, 2008 at 11:57 am

Wow thats amazing! Abstract art is the best art but “modern art” is a load of crap…you can crush up some paper and stuff it in a glass and viola! Modern art…load of rubbish. Your art is much better than that mike XD

“Antony Micallef”…rings a bell…he’s really talented but I will admit I am a little freaked out by the clown thing…

  3. nillp on June 21, 2008 at 2:19 pm

  4. Jaclyn on June 21, 2008 at 12:10 pm

Thanx again! Great artist he is! Love the second – a kid with guns in the head – that’s exactly how i feel now, that’s how the world makes me feel though i’m not a kid anymore ))) but this is inner me including shoes and sox )))

  5. soyuneik on June 21, 2008 at 2:29 am

Even the angels become polluted and engulfed in the corporate, capitalistic, slime thats runs modern society.
Her wings painted like American fighter jets, one representing freedom, but we all know the other means war.
She’s Americas, the worlds, perfect poster whore.

  6. zimminator on June 20, 2008 at 10:51 pm

amen! lol those are cool. i like them

  7. axrinekey on June 20, 2008 at 10:46 pm

    Third piece is HAHA >D

  9. Heshotmedown on June 20, 2008 at 2:03 pm

Oh, I forgot: the 2nd pic reminds me of the gun head pic. From “Revolution Unseen”. Awesome work.

  10. Heshotmedown on June 20, 2008 at 1:59 pm

Really awesome art. The last one is kinda funny, but still serious. It makes you think about what the media and the “new” world made with ppl. Especially the young ones.
The Barbie pic is hilarious. But somehow you can’t laugh about it, ’cause there is this very serious aspect. That reminds me of a shirt of mine. The cookie monster is sniff in some lines of cookies. Or the old “How about a nice cup of shut the fuck up” shirt from hottopic, wich I thought would be nice at the M&G in mannheim ;o) Lovely, what would the world be without irony?

  17. Ilo on June 20, 2008 at 5:10 am

Nice paintings! I like it when paintings has something “mystic”… can look at them hundreds of times and every time you find something new…..there are so many particular point, you can view them separate or all togeather as the whole thing. thats one reason too why I like Marc Chagall so much. But I think you canΒ΄t hang up a few paintings (from Antony Micallef)in some rooms……you know why ;-))

  18. shinoda_me on June 20, 2008 at 5:07 am

love the second one … amazing …

  19. MusicalMorphine on June 20, 2008 at 4:40 am

Very interesting, I love art that actually has a meaning and a message without it being totally obvious from the first look. That gave me something to do in my free period, thanks.

  20. ColorScheming on June 20, 2008 at 2:48 am

Absolutely incredible. I check this site everyday, but i rarely leave comments anymore. But i have to on this. This is why i love your blog, because you introduced me into artists i haven’t heard of such as greg simkins. And now this artist. Thank you, and keep up with the blogs!

Hi Mike, what up? I am writing about LP concert in Brno (Czech Republic). IΒ¨ve been there. And I have to say: IT WAS SO AMAZING. I have never visited the event like that in my life. Thank you and thanks to whole band for your concert there. I am from CR and I am LP fan and the concert was the first time when I seen you live. If you will have a concert in CR in future, I will be there. It was super. Thank you for that …

  23. BraneWorld on June 19, 2008 at 9:51 pm

  26. beliss_shin on June 19, 2008 at 4:50 pm

Though it does not have anything to see but … please!!!!! How can I obtain the DC shoes that here in Spain itΒ΄s very complicated to obtain them …:(:(:(

  27. beliss_shin on June 19, 2008 at 4:37 pm

The images are incredible! Massive influences of the commercial marks, the weapon like unnecessary and sadly priority investment for the governments…
2.-What would give for being able to go to the proyect revolution, but I believe that it will be complicated being of Spain 😦
3.-if I was trying to put a ball of pinpon in a glass to five centimeters of distance, I am sure of the fact that the ball goes out of it :S

  28. hannxmann on June 19, 2008 at 4:28 pm

  30. analoggirl on June 19, 2008 at 4:02 pm

Thanks for sharing that link to Anthony Micallef’s site. You’re right, his work is incredible. His pieces are so evocative, it’s almost too much to take in at once.

  37. Fishgoingwest on June 19, 2008 at 2:18 pm

P.S. We LP fans have almost fought with Avril’s online, cause the competetion of MTV’s voting is so fiece. And now LP’s 41.92% and Avril’s 39.94.Still have much to do!

  41. MentalisFun on June 19, 2008 at 1:55 pm

Does the second one remind anybody of the terminator? Or might that just be my freaky ability to see non-existing things? Anywhoo…these are incredible so thanks for the link. clicks on link πŸ˜›

  42. Doggie24690 on June 19, 2008 at 1:43 pm

  43. Alexandra on June 19, 2008 at 1:31 pm

wouch! some of his paintnings just shocked me..some of them are fantastic! never heard of him before. i’m not well-educated in modern art.. but i really like it. I think that ”the idol kids of today” is best.. very topical problem. his art makes me think about some things:)
