sasummsumm on July 15, 2008 at 10:50 am
lol dickmann’s are really not so special in germany but as i saw this in another light…its pretty funny you are right
i have found out some other funny “lost in translation” in germany for you, my teacher told us that a “public viewing” is where you bury someone but here in germany some “specialist” used the words in another way:
for viewing a soccer game on a huge screen with other peoples in public…XD
and i’m shure there is more here in germany…^^
so come her soon again XD hrhr
greetings from germany^^

@mistress of madness @Kaeru
LOL. This conversation is getting hilarious and lost in translation in itself I think, Kaeru refers to the German meaning of ‘dick’ which is fat. So, if you eat them, you become fat XD … I guess … I’m confused, ha ha.
Peryman on July 9, 2008 at 3:59 am
Haha Mike, Theres not much translation between us Aussies and you guys. But it just reflects out cheeky lifestyle.
And that’s only a minor Lost in Translation compared to others!

I_B_Long on July 8, 2008 at 1:27 am
i looked at the video posted by MYFACE down there… and im gonna have to be a bit of a hypocrite (just this once) after speaking out against people invading ppls privacy with cameras and such, i gotta admit, it WAS kinda cool to see you filming the video. and now i know why it was so shaky. if you use a simple digi-cam to film,, you need TWO hands to hold it steady. with this tip, maybe your next film wont send your fans running for the bathroom with nausea……;)
(still feeling like a hypocrite for watching and enjoying the clip)
edit:my “tip” about holding the camera was a joke. maybe not a good one, but still a joke……:)

alichino78 on July 8, 2008 at 12:37 am
i’m a Filipino who temporarily lives here in Abu Dhabi, UAE. well Mr. Shinoda they also got some interesting shop names here too. like BUTT SWEET HOUSE, please don’t think they’re selling literally sweet fresh human bums but its actually an Arabic confectioner shop, i have no idea why the hell they’ve named their shop that way. there’s even have one here that’s named BULBUL REFRESHMENT or something. actually i have to correct this in our language in Tagalog bulbul or bulbol which is the correct spelling is actually the Tagalog word for pubic hair.
please this isn’t the fault of the local residents of UAE, this is the fault of those expatriates who were the owners of these establishments.
NoFace on July 7, 2008 at 11:36 pm
Tell me you don’t want some Dickmann’s lmao. That looks so yummy.
By the way, this is a vid filmed by Hong Kong fans which has the same scene with your video ‘Sirens and Silence’, the part where a girl was screaming “I love you Chester, I love you Mike”. Maybe you wanna check it out.

HAHAHAHA THATS FUCKIN AWESOME. I really like the Hooker Cockram one. I’ve seen some amazing signs that were really stupid in Thailand and Indonesia. Haha, I brought a DVD and the subtitles were meant to say “We have to run away” and the translation was “Everybody Soy bean cake!” …made no sense what-so-ever.
Mike, does Anna ever read some of the stuff you post on here? It’s so funny dude.

Neil on July 7, 2008 at 5:37 pm
The Australian one isnt “Lost In Translation” because we speak english…. its more of “parents gave him a fucked up name, and his last name is reason for him being bullied in school”

You said it best “Lost in Translation”. Funny!!

Yeah, right, I hope too you’ve eaten at least one of the Dickmann’s instead just staring at the boxes lol But you propably didn’t put one of them into the microwave and watched it grow inside, did you? That’s even funnier now you made me start thinking about the english translation of the word dick… though they (uhm, Dickmann’s) taste even better when they’re warm and fluffy… if you’re over here again the next time, try it! Really, it’s no joke, try it! – END OF UMI’S ‘DICKMANN’S COOKING INSTRUCTIONS’
Calynka on July 7, 2008 at 11:18 am
