SITUATION IN HAITI IS DIRE FOLLOWING HURRICANES & FLOODS
September 19, 2008

According to the U.N. there are approx. 800,000 people in need of help in Haiti following four recent storms which devastated the Caribbean nation. Tropical storms Fay and Hanna and hurricanes Gustav and Ike all hit Haiti in the span of one month killing more than 600 people and leaving behind a disaster that has practically destroyed the entire port city of Gonaives.
Make a donation HERE to help those struggling in Haiti!

One week ago today hurricane Ike made landfall on Galveston, TX as a category two storm wiping out entire towns on the Bolivar Peninsula. Some residents cannot tell where their homes or their streets used to be.

DONATE to MFR to aid the recovery effort.

I just bought one yesterday.. I’ll hope it’ll arrive soon ’cause i’m livin’ in France… I hope this little money will help NB: Anyway, i just would say something else: recording is EASIER than ever that’s right, but not cheaper… You know protools is still really expesive and I still can’t buy a monitor and a good ear-monitoring system cuz i’m out of money because of that I’m using a shure E-210 but the sound is “colored”it’s good enough for lives but not recording… So i just wanted to say that, today living from a passion is really difficult, no matter what you’re doing cuz there are much more sharks which are stealing your work. How could people protect their work?

hey, i just thought i’d let you know that for my student council (im in 8th grade), i had this wonderful idea to start a donation drive for my whole school to donate to MFR.
..and we’re going to be starting that pretty soon =)
i think it’s really nice of you and the band to think of others and actually do something about it.
    you rock =)
    the shirts are awesome too!

Mike, just thought i’d show you something that other musicians are doing for hurricane relief. My school’s drum line participated in an event that pretty much lasted the whole day, trying to raise money. I think you’ll enjoy this clip!πŸ˜€

    Hey Mike,

Im glad you and LP do so much for MFR. I just ordered the Sublimated shirt, and Im already wearing the other one you did for MFR. I get a lot of compliments on it. It’s really cool to see, I know you hate the word “famous” people doing what they can and what they should to make an impact on the world. If you guys ever need help with anything like Habitat for Humanity, or any other things associated with MFR I would love to help. Even if you want to put a street team together for MFR I think that would be a cool idea.

Keep on being a great guy, and let the guys of LP know we all appreciate all the hard work you guys do inside and outside of the studio.

  14. TiffTiff33LP on September 24, 2008 at 11:44 am

This is so horrible…i remember when we had a very rainy period in here and the water was just so much that houses were destroyed and it was just awful.I already have the art book and the mfr t-shirt and the mfr bandanna and i think i’m gonna get the other t-shirt too.

  16. rockermeg on September 24, 2008 at 10:56 am

Oh man that’s so sad…we’re learning about this in Geography, its just a matter of where you live, which is just a matter of luck I guess.

My heart goes out to all the victims’ families and you guys at MFR are doing really well, keep it up while I go donate and buy that shirt…

I have purchased yesterday the MFR ”Revolution Unseen” Art Book and I am waiting to receive it. I would also like to buy the “Glorious Excess (Born)” Art Book, but it wasn’t available in the MFR store. I’ll wait first to receive the RU Art Book and then will buy the GE Art Book from your store. I would love to order more stuff for the cause, but I never received my lpu stuff. It has been like 2 months. If it normally takes that long then its cool, but the status says shipped.
    I can’t keep spending $ on stuff I don’t get…ya know?

  19. Anna_4 on September 24, 2008 at 7:42 am

The t-shirt is very cool. Your effort to help the others is so amazing! :’)
If I could, I’ll buy it.. But I live in Europe (Portugal) and I think I can’t buy it!:/
You guys are so good people. You are famous, but you use the fact that people know you, and help people that is going through difficulties. That’s awesome! congratulations.πŸ™‚

  23. zahra on September 24, 2008 at 4:36 am

i all ready have the T-SHIRT!!!!! AND I LOVE IT!

  24. Aqua101 on September 24, 2008 at 4:28 am

Mike, u & yr band really such a generous people, thanks for that. I love the shirt but decided not to order since I live in another part of the world. What I do in respect for showing an anticipation was sending a cheque of US$20 to MFR office (which I did last week). Thats all I can do for now. I, myself, very much involved in some kind of charitable works (Christian Action Organization), contributing effort has became a part of my life…especially for those victims who need helps. BTW, one question : Does MFR also involve to other places such as China, Vietnam, etc (not only for US)? Seems to me MFR stress more within US & carribean territories, how about other parts in Asia? Cheers…:)

  25. dulcemdl on September 24, 2008 at 2:16 am

and if you could do something, that unite us all, or at least soon, I, like other fans would like to be able to buy some things …. but it is so complicated ……..

  26. dulcemdl on September 24, 2008 at 2:10 am

Firstly, I am very happy for my idols try to do good in this world and try to help those most in need, directly or indirectly, unfortunately, it is difficult to have either buy you something, buy something that I loved your authorship , and not only to serve as a donation, but as fan.. l ike iblong said, something coming from America to Europe could take a year,so i help in another way……..mike thanks for being so …..

  27. ColorScheming on September 24, 2008 at 12:54 am

I volunteered for mfr at the vegas joint show. It was amazing. If i had an extra 2 bucks to give i would. Im broke until friday when i get paid and then i will donate. I think its amazing what you guys do to help out.

  28. I_B_Long on September 24, 2008 at 12:49 am

i would love to buy the shirt and all the other stuff on bandmerch, but since i still cant buy anything there because they dont have “AE” (thats american forces in europe) as a state i will proly not be able to get one until i get back to the us which wont be for another year or so.
its amazing how MFR accepts my credit card for DONATIONS, but bandmerch wont accept it when i try to buy something.
aaannyway, i hate to bitch about it so much but what else can i do?
    cool post, MFR rocks!

  29. So_S on September 24, 2008 at 12:38 am

i ordered that shirt a couple of days ago along with some other stuff. i’m glad that there’s a way other than volunteering that us people from overseas can help!πŸ™‚

oh, and i’m donating more money when i’m not broke, lol
