I was actually at the gallery totally thinking, “I bet Mike would love this stuff.” And then I see it on your blog a few days later! What a trip! The stuff definitely reminds me of something Alex Pardee would create. I got some pics of the paintings on my iphone if you want me to e-mail them, I’m not sure if you’re still touring in Asia right now. Have a good one Mike!

Hey Mike! Hopefully you remember me, I was one of the LPU kids at the secret show with Busta Rhymes. I was the kid with the weird red hair that works at the Apple Store haha. Anyway, I actually went to ThinkSpace last Friday to see this gallery! There were free drinks, some cool people, and some scenesters haha. The way that I interpreted the art was one side of the gallery (with the robots) represented nature destroying technology (vines and trees were often breaking/attacking the robots). The other side of the gallery represented technology destroying nature (you’ll notice the “humans” are strange hybrids, perhaps cloning gone out of control).

  6. axrinekey on October 18, 2008 at 2:57 am

    GOAT! 😀

And does that mean you’re going too?

I dunno why, but these pictures remind me of Christianity..
    Something about religions… @__@
    Or horoscopes. D:

Wanna kno why ur site is so gud? It’s cause you promote other artists & musicians BRILLIANT! My favourites would have to be “The dripple down effect ” & Giants never die” I like the visual messages in these paintings. I’ll look into them more thanks MARTINAC XXX

Wow, really nice pieces of work! And again “nice to life in germany”… 😦
My favourite: “Twisted”, definitely “Twisted”. It’s awesome. No person should buy this picture….it should be in a gallery…. So anyone can see this wonderful work.
Mike, please show us more like this. Im from germany and Im feeling like living in the back of beyond when it comes to art like that.

  9. ShadowerLiltani on October 17, 2008 at 4:09 pm

Very creative art. Don’t take this the wrong way, but I could see some of this artist’s work on some really sweet Magic cards. You into Magic the gathering at all? If not, you have no idea what you are missing. I like it for the pretty card art, and constructing my Black/red/blue spirit deck which will destroy all who face me is much fun 😀

Greetings MIKE! Rather original pictures at this artist, I liked a picture ” Radiation Bomb “, in this picture true…. By the way it seems Ekundayo drew one of posters for a concert (august 7.08 Phoenix. AZ)

  11. Lee on October 17, 2008 at 2:16 pm

Wow. You always find the best artists. They’re all so inspiring.

  12. dulcemdl on October 17, 2008 at 10:50 am

but still, I find strange! I can do a translation of this,in my way of thinking, of course!!
reading is always a strange, and I believe that is quite different from the way you “read” the paintings .. I do not know if you do that ….. but I believe that yes …. the secret that there!!

  13. Parker on October 17, 2008 at 10:37 am

Great piece of art 🙂 I really like it 🙂 thanks for sharing and now I want to share something with you. I think it’s worth to see it 🙂 -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wuHXwavOp4w

    take care 😉

  14. ArielCahen on October 17, 2008 at 9:51 am

great stuff! mike, hope you read this: you’ve been posting about the way music business work. so i thought it would be nice if you explained how the touring schedule thing works. I say that because now and then a rumor comes up about LP going somewhere they’re not and a lot of fans end up thinking it’s the bands fault or that the band doesn’t want to go to these places, which is not true. it’d be nice if you cleared things up for these fans. also: it’d be amazing if you released crawling or OSC from the show in Brazil. all the recordings of this particular show are really bad. crawling was probably the most loud and OSC the last song of the whole world tour cycle, so that’d be special

  15. Shinodabestfriend on October 17, 2008 at 9:50 am

in my life I ve never seen art so strange like that you choose, mike….. this is a real new thing……..

  16. dulcemdl on October 17, 2008 at 8:12 am

These paintings are a little strange, I don’t know, I do not identified with them…… and are of a value … lol

  17. Philly_Willy on October 17, 2008 at 6:43 am

Wow, these are awesome I love Specimen #6, The Cure and Thought Bubble.

I had a thought the other day, since its a little hard to play “We Made It” live anymore, you could do your verse over the beginning of Points of Authority. Just thought that might sound pretty cool.

  18. Gabry94LinkinParkfan23 on October 17, 2008 at 6:21 am

Really cool stuff! Ekundayo mixes the colours in such an impressive way. KMNDZ has great backgrounds as well. Especcialy in “Receiver”, “El Chango” and “Twisted”. I also love the idea of antique metal frames. Thanks for sharing 🙂

  20. mshinoda_rocks on October 17, 2008 at 5:02 am

Nice choice, Mike – “The double minded man”. It looks like he is showing him the right direction or “just reach out and take it, it’ll be yours”. I’m impressed by the “Real eyes” – it looks like they’ve seen a lot. Krassie K.

  27. Hawaii_LP_fan on October 16, 2008 at 11:26 pm

Yes, I have to agree this painting “The Double minded man” is a beautiful piece. I just absolutely love the daidai iro! My fav color! Primary colors rock I tell ya. 🙂 I visited the site & I found creative uses of acrylic paint & graphite. Very cool! Can’t wait to see your masterpieces too! 🙂

  31. AliceXD on October 16, 2008 at 9:37 pm

thats seriously some really interesting artwork….. i like how some of them are painted… how they litterally look like you could just reach out and touch it… ie. the one painting of the heart called.. “twisted” i think.. very interesting.. its pretty cool

  32. caleb_bozeman on October 16, 2008 at 9:11 pm

  35. FCastro on October 16, 2008 at 8:16 pm

    Hey Mike,
    if you see that,
I’d like to give you an idea: could you make us a picture about the Brazilian Amazon???

No one would put that forest on a board like I hope you do man, I wish you do it, please. Thanks

  36. Anstice on October 16, 2008 at 8:09 pm

That’s really awesome. But, I don’t understand the albino bison? Is the picture about the end of the world?
