The music industry is moving onto the internets, and the record labels will be left in the dust if they don’t change their business model…the last two NIN releases (Slip and Ghosts)…that that kind of distribution is the future of music…

M: It would be great to be in the situation that NIN and Radiohead are in–being independent and selling direct to the fans would be really interesting. We’re currently in a contract with WB, and that relationship essentially requires us to do it a more traditional way, which is fine for now. Some day, that contract will be over, and we’ll be looking into other options. At that time, we intend to explore all viable possibilities.

Re: Re-prioritizing – I think that there needs to be a better way of indicating what is quality music. The worse musicians or entertainers are geniusly marketed to the point that the general public spends $ regardless if the product is inferior. Anytime dollars are the measure of success or failure, greed inevitably lurks. We are fed images of lap of luxury existence & we realize -That dude does not need my 99 cents more than I do…

M: A little convoluted, but I think you’re making some good points. Here’s what I think: since “quality” of music is totally subjective (you could easily argue for and against it on anything from Wu Tang’s “36 Chambers” to Fugazi’s “Repeater”), it’s all about “what do I like?” Look, sometimes someone in the ‘burbs wishes they was in da club dazzlin da bitchez wit they iced-out chain and buying da bar out so dey can take sum dime pieces back to da crib. But don’t hate on them because they’re making money. Instead, hate on them because their music doesn’t interest you, and their message is shallow and contrived. Besides, if they’re flashing money in their video, chances are they don’t really have any anyway.

Hey Mike, I find your comment on the downloading issue interesting and I quoted you to make some conversation on the MB and put my own opinions there: http://forums.linkinpark.com/showthread.php?t=9958&page=4 Also I´d like to ask if the famous quote “We support free music. Go ahead, download that shit!” (or smthng like that) is yours? Cause for example on youtube people seem to use that as a justification to put up your songs. Peace -Petri

M: I do support “free music.” For example: QWERTY (Live) was free. My FM mixtape was floating around, free. When Tim Fite or NIN gave away tracks, or Radiohead let you pay whatever you wanted, I thought, “that’s a great way to do it.” But if the artist says, “I want you to pay X amount for it,” then it’s a different story. The bottom line is: if you like the song and band, I would say you should buy it. If you don’t, your options are: DL it, or leave it alone.

Again, for a more in-depth look at this story, go here

Mike, Those were some really great questions, and even better responses. I totally support your opinion on understanding what your money is going to, and thinking critically about how your actions affect other people…If you wanna talk further I opened a new thread… http://forums.linkinpark.com/showthread.php?p=455402#post455402

M: Great! Feel free to continue the conversation there, I’ll pitch in if i have something to say.

Hi Mike. Thanks a million for responding to my comment regarding the bottle water issue. …I agree with you 100% that we have to do something. But we must act responsibly…We have to come up with solutions that will make our environment more sustainable for future generations, but at the same time we must work to improve social and economic conditions. Like I mentioned before, everything is connected to everything else…Thanks once again Mike and keep up the good work!

M: Agreed! It’s all connected…Wouldn’t it be great if those people you are concerned about got jobs producing energy-efficient eco-friendly products from recycled material? Both problems solved.

POSTED BY SQUISHY_HO (similar question by EAMER)
Do you think you could give out tips to people who just started painting? Cause it’s my case, i try stuff but i feel it doesn’t work out right. Could you give out “where to start” tips and like do’s and don’ts? Or a book recommendation, cause you seem good in that, too :p
thanks a lot =)

M: Great idea. I’ll put one together.

POSTED BY LOL2MELP
you know mike, you might keep in touch with your lp fans, but what about your fm fans?they didn’t disappear with fort minor.they’re still there, waiting for you.so if you do get the chance to swing by and say hello, it would be much appreciated.

M: In an effort to keep things more streamlined, I’m really spending most of my “posting time” here on mikeshinoda.com. I totally appreciate all the fans who are on FM.com, LP.com, FMM, LPU, etc., but I hope you guys don’t mind just coming here to get the direct word. Bouncing around everywhere to post takes up time that I could otherwise be spending on writing music or making a worthwhile post here.

Thanks for posting,
mike

    Hey Mike,

I just want to say that Fort Minor: Rising Tied is still one of my favorite albums. Away from the day job I run my own publishing company. FM: RT is one of my more frequently listened to set of tracks while I am working. I just want to say thank you and keep making music.

    Hi Mike.
I just wanted to say that it is an honor to exist such an awesome band like Linkin Park. I’ve read many texts about your band’s history and I see how different things are now, where everyone can just pick up a computer and make a viral music. I have a band called Toxiz Syndrome, we are still learning to play our instruments well and writing some lyrics. And I would like to know how can we “evolve” into a good band, with live shows and everything. We don’t want to do “fake” music like some peole do, mixing everything in Sony Vegas, etc… We decided that we would play a Rap Rock style similiar to Hybrid Theory and Meteora, and I would like to get some begginer tips from you.

hello mike I am kid of Portugal I have to follow some time linkin park and noticed a big change like to know if you going forward to continue thinking that way or go back the origins but what I really wanted to know was whether they thought continue with fort minor because I liked it that your work and until now was always to think the will will be a second album. and wanted to congratulate you and give strength to proceed with your work as a musician and a painter because I really appreciate your work because it s very good at what you do and also because I do more or less the same thing singing hip hop and design.
    is all thanks

Hey Mike, I just wanted to say that I think it’s amazing to know what you, and the rest of the guys in Linkin Park, are doing for the Haitians that lost their homes.
I did my part by downloading the song, and telling EVERYBODY I know about it.
I think this project is really going somewhere, and i wish you luck in getting the donations that you need to assist the Haitians. Btw, can’t wait for the new album (i’m stoked about it).
    Love, Peace, and Happiness.

    I have a question..
in the “given up” music video, there are flashses of words like from a book. where is that from? i made out some words like “a schitzotype, would like you to , by Jaws. Sure, when it was final, I had no idea how large his life, It was his secret”. where did these lines come from?

    just curious.
    :]

    later mike!

I agree with the comment about paintings…

Painting especially with water colours, it’s so hard to control the flow.
and sometimes, it end up ugly… VERY ugly.

    And some drawings with pencils…
I heard some of my friends telling me that I have to imagine what I want to draw, then draw it based on what you’ve imagined.

Hi Mike, I can see people is centered in the whole downloading free music subject here. But I have a brand new question. Is there any plans for the future to make another collaboration like with Collision Course?. If not, would you like to make another one and with whom?.

hey mike me&my sis have been having a debate via facebook about whether its right to eat meat?i’m a meateater whereas my sis is a veggie, wondered where u stood on the matter? I argued that by eating meat i am keeping farmers in a job and by doing so they keep breeding cows chickens etc, without farmers the cows and chickens would cease to exist unless u wanna go with the idea of wild cows.&if farms didnt make meat they would be shut down and houses built on farmland. My sis said Methane is the second most significant greenhouse gas and cows are one of the greatest methane emitters.Their grassy diet and multiple stomachs cause them to produce methane, which they exhale with every breath.

hey mike, thanks for the reply, rly appreciate it.i already thought you were avoiding the whole fm issue.but im not rly buying the excuse for not posting on the fmmb.i understand you’re busy and have to work on new lp stuff and whatnot, but i’m not asking..we’re not asking for you to write long posts, a hi would be more then enough.and i realize this site is where you spend most of your time online, but if the lpmb get to have a bit of mike, i think the fmmb deserve a bit too.on another note, just wanted to thank you for not closing down the fmmb after fm, coz there’s still some rly great ppl there posting.good luck wit whatever you’re doing at the moment

  23. skindesbous on October 26, 2008 at 12:52 pm

I disagree with you at one point. You say quality of music is totally subjective, and it depends of your interests.I don’t think so,there’s a lot more of elements, like staffs, creativity…Maybe the best guitarist or drummer can play so fast that you can’t even see their hands moving, and they can have a really good quality, but it doesn’t mean they’re good composers.Ok,you can compose something really interesting, that sounds really great, but that work doesn’t mean anything if the Foo Fighters has composed it before.I mean, there’s something in music called quality, and it depends of creativity, musicians, and way of doing it. Can you compare Beethoven’s music to the Outkast’s one? That’s my opinion

Great post :) I love that you’re doing this more often, thanks for taking the time.

I just got lost in London-not a pleasant experience. No tube lines were running to St Pancras and guess where I needed to go! I wondered around Oxford Street/Regent Street and Leicester Square trying to get a bus(which didn’t happen either)eventually the Bakerloo line opened again…I got home 4 hours after I was meant to get back. :-/ I’m tired

Lots of love for the post

  28. Curiosa on October 25, 2008 at 9:57 pm

Sory 2 post 2 but here’s what I have 2 say concerning mbs: Wow Mike, they’re not asking u 2 go on there & constantly post. They’r asking u 2 show them as much curtesy & respect as u do lpmb by stoping by there every once in a while. When did u last post on lpmb? Recently. When did u last post on fmmb? Dec. 2007. Do u see the problem? We all respect the fact that ur busy but b fare about it. Ur 4gtng fm fans r different from lp fans; fm fans r free thinkers. If I cared I would have felt u were insulting my intelligence w/that last remark. gr8 way 2 lose fans since actions speak louder than words.

PS: Ur coments involving human sympathey r starting 2 make u sound very cold. How sad.

  29. Rez on October 25, 2008 at 9:23 pm

Hi Mike. It’s generous of you to respond to my comment once again. Yeah it would be a wonderful world if everything worked out like you suggested. Unfortunately, things don’t often go as planned and sometimes the most well intentioned things can go terribly awry. That is something we see throughout the history of our species. That does not mean we should stop trying to do good, but that we really learn and then proceed with caution. Sometimes I feel like the environmental movement is like the religious fundamentalism movement we see across the world, where it’s victory at all cost. Anyway, check out Michael Crichton’s State of Fear if you have not done so already. Thanks again!

I just wanted to ask you something, Mike, and I figured I would go straight to the source. :)

There is a remix of Depeche Mode’s “Enjoy the Silence” floating around with your name attached to it. And maybe this is really old news, but I’ve just been wondering if you did in fact do a remix of that song. If you did, it’s freaking awesome. Who doesn’t love all things Depeche Mode or Mike Shinoda? Thanks! :)

I have 2 different jobs and a son – thats enough for me and I am always glad to have the time only for enjoying myself… (I can guess the answer: Enjoy yourself by doing what you have to do … hahaha. this one is better: do what you do when you do what you do ;)))

Hi Mike. Question – do you still visit LP fansites every now and then? Just wondering since I think you all said you check in every now and then with them. Sites like LPAssociation, LPLive, LPTimes. What are your thoughts on the fans maintaining their own sites within the community itself? Thanks! I’ve never seen an artist so…”in touch” with their fans (this blog as an example) – thanks a lot for addressing a lot of questions on here. It seems these days a lot of artists never communicate with the fans, and I feel that link is somewhat vital to maintaining your fanbase.

  44. Carla on October 25, 2008 at 6:20 am

I appreciate that you do respond to our comments or devout whole entires in doing so. It shows that you care and it makes this blog one step ahead of others who just post for all the glory or strike up controversy, but never say anything much back to their readers. It also gives us alot of insight on stuff we never knew, whether that’d be about the band or your personal view on things. Thanks!

I know this is a silly question, but I always wanted to ask you this. It’s obvious you’re a fan of anime, but did you have any particular favorites when you’re younger, that got you into it? Any recent ones? Also, you considering a sort of painting tutorial has to be the best thing I’ve read today.

I really enjoy listening to The Rising Tied and the mixtapes you’re on. And i’m just wondering if you see yourself releasing a new Fort Minor record in the foreseeable future(few years)?

Thanks for the responses Mike! It’s always great to hear from u. Yeah us FM fans are still here ;) but i agree, going here is much easier. Yeah, u hardly rapped on MTM! That’s why, on that survey you asked us to take, there was a question about which album we liked best. i was like WHAT, HOW DO U EXPECT ME TO CHOOSE?! haha. I decided to go with MTM seeing as i was listening to What I’ve Done in that moment in time. But i strongly request that in LP’s next album you rap more. Not saying that we don’t love Chester’s voice because we do ;) but the songs need more of your vocal presence in them! :) Henna (england) ..xx

Thanks for making clear you points. Responses are always really appreciated! =)

  52. shinoda_me on October 25, 2008 at 3:05 am

hey Mike… firstly, its great that you made some changes in the site.. ‘share this’ is awesome… i could let my lazy friends take a peek into some of the very interesting stuff you post.. haha!
about downloading music and stuff.. that reminds me of this interview that i saw of the 2 guys in Protest the Hero (the singer and bass guitarist) .. when asked on how offended they must be that their album leaked before the actual release, the bassist simply shut the interviewer by saying ‘we dont care… go ahead… download it… dont buy it… we just want you to listen to the music and derive from that… thats all’…. made me go ‘wow’

  54. Kalini on October 25, 2008 at 1:56 am

Mike, thanks once again for the responses! I was thinking for a while about all the tracks you did in the past 8 years and I have a question for you. I’m sure you won’t have time to answer it and I won’t be angry for it. How did the remix of “Enjoy the silence” happen? Did you decide to do it or DM contacted you? DM collaborates nearly never with another artist. It’s such recognition of your talent. It’s the only remix of DM song, which the DM fans loved. When Rammstein did the cover of “Stripped” all the DM fans hated it. I ask you this question, because LP and DM are my most favorite bands and the remix of ETS is one of my most favorite songs ever. Re: your reply- When big artist condemn downloading I think the condemnation should be more towards their label & industry for the poor pay structure. I won’t empathize- cuz big artist who use their image in this fight have many oppurtunities to earn $. I rarely hear small bands upset over downloading. Labels lose $, but an artist % on the sell is slim. The route Radiohead took is the financial future for all artist. Since you have a contract you are put as a soldier for your label. Then you look like some spoiled brat on my Super 16. Not you-MS-per se, but take Lars, that is the image that was invoked when he spoke out against Napster. Probably unjustly but for his % of $ was it worth it?

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and insights in your life and opinions, it is a pleasure to read them and a privilege that you share them with us! I have always said i only buy LP CDs/DVDs and tickets because you are the band out there who i think i should spend my hard earned cash on ( i’m a school cook in a primary school ) as you guys really deserve it! :-) Keep blogging, it makes us happy! – Maria x

  57. Frerard on October 25, 2008 at 12:33 am

out of curiosity, when you do get out of WB and start direct digital sales on LP’s album, would you still be interested in producing the physical aka CD?

in my opinion, CD is more worth to spend money on, aside from the music, you’d get booklet and stuffs that make it special to have.

re: fmmb. omg, you’re so 100% right!!!

  58. msgirl on October 24, 2008 at 11:40 pm

    hhmm….. :) that’s great that u answer ur fans questions a lot…… ;) but not mine….:( kiddin… :) i liked the last question…..yess,what about FM????DO U CONSIDER ABOUT DOING S/TH IN FM???U KNOW,THERE ARE MANY FANS IN UR FM…ALSO U WERE DOING GREAT IN FORT MINOR(where’d u go,kenji,remember the name,believe me)wow..they r great……SO I HOPE U WON’T LEAVE UR FM FANS….and in MTM u didn’t rap a lot…… :( i miss ur rapping….PLEASE! i hope u will rap in ur next album ,okay? :)

It’s still a few months away, but, what’s going on with the upcoming art show? Do have any updated news for us? The experience of meeting you and going to see the first part in July was absolutely amazing!

  61. Doggie24690 on October 24, 2008 at 9:55 pm

“Wouldn’t it be great if those people you are concerned about got jobs producing energy-efficient eco-friendly products from recycled material? Both problems solved.” Absolutely brilliant, haha.

  62. Michael1904 on October 24, 2008 at 9:32 pm

    Hi Mike

The DVDs for Meteora, MTM and The Rising Tied give an insight into the creation of your music. Would you ever consider expanding on this – posting articles/videos about your writing and production work? A day in the life of Mike at his home studio, that sort of thing? Or walking us through a ProTools session of a past LP or FM song? I’m thinking aloud, but do you see where I’m coming from?

Similarly, when you released the session files for the Remember The Name remix contest, that was really educational from a production stand point. If you ever consider doing that again in the future, that’d be really cool.

    Thanks a lot Mike, Peace

    Michael, Scotland

  63. Southpaw on October 24, 2008 at 7:20 pm

Mike, have your forgotten to play Forgotten in the past six years? I really miss not hearing it live anymore. It’s been six years, and we really would love to hear the song that its name seems to be true.

  64. Lvix on October 24, 2008 at 6:17 pm

Mike, what are you doing at the moment? Take holiday, already working in the studio?
Which day you guys start back in the studio and what about chester his projekt ‘dead by sunrise’
Does he have a lot of work for the projekt?

  65. outlawserenade on October 24, 2008 at 5:38 pm

Ohai! While you’re on a roll in cleaning up the sites, can you PLEASE have somebody do something about our LPU e-mails? We’d like ‘em working, forward-able, and/or spam-filtered, please. Just like before [/noOSCreference] 6.0 rolled by. bats lashes

Re: crossposting: Copy/pasta ftw? I know I picked on you copy/pasta-ing a jillion times. But copy/pasta is better than none, really. Especially since a lot of us take your approach – goes to one site and that’s all. Perdy please?

  66. lynndarwinharris on October 24, 2008 at 5:07 pm

I appreciate the fact that you actually read and respond to comments. Especially since you are a VERY busy person. I look foward to the next album!!! Can’t wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  67. thenewLinkinPete on October 24, 2008 at 4:55 pm

Yes, to be absolutely clear about the downloading issue, I do agree with you. People just don´t seem to think it that way, maybe cause it´s not so concrete than buying (or stealing) shoes for example. Also I don´t think the (small) amount of money the band gets from a CD or how popular/wealthy they are changes the issue. And even though not everyone loves record companies, they and the other people involved need to be paid too to keep going. I think that Radiohead could do their thing cause there are people who respects the issue/them.
And thank you for responding!Without flawning, it is absolutely unbelievable that you actually read and answer to comments. And happy birthday to HT!

  68. cuz on October 24, 2008 at 4:41 pm

Great to see your responses again :) It’s always nice that you spend some time reading the comments and having more personal talk with us.

That character counter is really useful BTW.

  69. Hawaii_LP_fan on October 24, 2008 at 4:39 pm

You inspire alot of people whether you know it or not. Never change! :-) Bottom line, you care what your fans think & give them a voice here. I don’t recall any other sites that allow or let alone remotely care to take the time & make changes. You’re a wonderful person. Many blessings to you & your family! Keep on rockin’.

  70. ShadowerLiltani on October 24, 2008 at 4:25 pm

Your second response is epic. I think it’s wonderful that you want to try giving out some painting tips. I’m sure tons of people, myself included, who enjoy painting will benefit from that. It’s funny this got mentioned cause I actually was going to ask you this anyways: I’m getting into painting portraits for my class, and I’ve noticed when I start a face I tend to have trouble filling in certain shades, high lights and it’s hard to get the details to show up over them. What do you think is the best way to start a portrait for a less frustrating finish?

  71. Elliot_aka_MC_Eli on October 24, 2008 at 4:18 pm

Yo mike, so… I remember you posting about Indie or Major.

What are the benefits of working with a Major label? People these days seem to think labels like Warner are the devil, and the restrict you on so many things… is this all true?

  72. teresamff on October 24, 2008 at 3:51 pm

Hi Mike! It’s really nice to see that the post “responses to comments” its becoming more and more usual (thanks for this :D). Anyway, I have a question, I’m not sure this is the right place to do this but… In May I offered the membership of FMM to a friend, but the problem is she didn’t receive her package (since August the package status appear like it was shipped but until now…). So the question is what’s happening? She already posted two tickets on FMM but she didn’t have no answer, can you help? Thanks :)

  73. BeautifulSeraph on October 24, 2008 at 3:43 pm

Mike, I have some questions regarding your use of biofuels in your tour buses. I am curious as to what the fuel is made of mostly? You might not know, but is it made from virgin soy bean oils or recycled cooking oil? Is it B100, or a mixture of biofuels and regular diesel? I can’t imagine that getting B100 is that easy on the road, as its usually made by smaller companies, such as Yokayo Biofuels, in Ukiah, California. (Not exactly a place you bypass on tour). Does your use of alternative fuels roll over into your personal vehicles? (I remember you posted about a car a few months back). Ok, almost out of space now, but I hope to hear back from you on this. =) Thanks so much.

  74. YuN_RoCks on October 24, 2008 at 3:34 pm

I don’t like the grey squares as background u_ù and I prefer the old font you used, this is so cold, distant, no personality. by the way, I think that the art/painting tips is one of the best ideas around here! it would be really interesting to see your direct approach to how-to-paint and stuff :] thank you so much for all the time you dedicate to us, we appreciate it a LOT! <3

  75. NataliaForgotten on October 24, 2008 at 3:25 pm

Congratulations! Thanks for this band, and this album (which is my favorite one), and everything. ^^ I was expecting a big emotional post about it, like last year. Ha… (I’m going to translate this post now, so I can read it. :p)

  76. Smarky on October 24, 2008 at 3:23 pm

Mike, I really admire all you do so much. I’m a very creative person too. Much respect to you for opening the dialog here. I am a huge supporter, I slept in a field outside Milton Keynes the night before just to get to the front when you played here! Then had to sleep in one after before i could get the train home! But anyway I want to ask something… The problem I have is managing everything. How do you do that? all the different projects and stuff to do? I’m into personal development and it’s intreasting that you did some stuff with Tim Ferris lately! I really wish i could sit in a room with you and we could Riiff on this for for half an hour or so. I could learn so much :D

You guys are amazing…and i don’t really know what to say…keep doing what you’re doing. Love you so much.
And i’m so glad you made ms.com Mike, i visit it like…14 times a day or something, haha.
    Have the best weekend ever!

Mike thank u very much 4 taking the time 2respond 2 questions. Well here are my thoughts.

(on H2O bottles v filtered): Mike u have a great idea but nothing is ever as easy as it sounds. Wouldn’t it be nice if we lived in a perfect world but unfortunately we don’t. For something like this 2 occcur the gov will need to force it on people. How would U go about making this hapen?

(on u posting on mbs): After being a mediator for 7 yrs for a couple of kids, umm….Well I think I’ll keep my thoughts on this 2 myself instead of posting it on here. :)~

BTW: This place is starting 2 look very nice, very professional & ur sounding very professional 2. =:0 What’s wrong w/u? Are you ill?

lol, that thread Petri started died, he came and joined us in “Mike’s Blog Discussion” instead.
i already said it last time, but i dont mind repeating myself, i totally agree on the downloading subject. however, for some people 10-20 bucks is ALOT of money. also, when i brought this hubby up with my hubby and his friends, they all said ” we are soldiers, they should give us that shit for free” which i kinda see their point.
as for the bottled water issue, i agree 100%.
oh and happy 8th B-Day Hybrid Theory :D

  82. sasummsumm on October 24, 2008 at 2:51 pm

hey the idea with “how do you do your art” or tips or inspirations are very welcome to me too^^.for example where do you get your ideas from.the who: what techniques do you use, some more making offs of your pics and that would be really great.
i like to draw and paint too and i think there are more ppl on this site like this…
i love to see how other artists do their stuff…what materials did they use to make a special effect or whatever…
so i say it would be interesting if you really could do more of that ;)
or something about how your art school was like or
what would be cool too are some tips how to get into such a school
what pictures to show the school ;)
    take care^^

  83. Doomguy13 on October 24, 2008 at 2:50 pm

I think it is awesome how you respond to your comments, and you really keep in touch with your fans. Not many artists do that. I have a question for you real quick, if you don’t mind. You know how you have these art shows, and the art is VERY good… I mean VERY good. The thing I find odd is how you saw this kinda art on the cover for “The Rising Tied”, but we never see art like the art in your art shows on Linkin Park albums. If you and Mr. Hahn are in charge of the art, why don’t you have your signature style somewhere in the cover art or the booklet?

  84. Brittney on October 24, 2008 at 2:48 pm

Just wanted to say that I think it’s really cool that you respond to the fans so often, Mike. We appreciate it more than you know. Also, I can’t wait to see your beginner’s guide to painting. Love your artwork, can’t wait to see more. Peace :]

  85. Hybr1d_7h3ory on October 24, 2008 at 2:46 pm

Another great batch of questions, and another awesome set of replies. It is really inspiring how much time and effort you put into this site Mike, whether it be looking for input on how to make it more user friendly or just taking the time out if your day to read and respond to your fans. I think I can speak for a majority of the religious visitors, THANK YOU.
The site update is coming along really great,, make sure to thank the people at Spark Art for us.
    Catch ya later Mike…Hybr1d_7h3ory
PS…The LOATR video from Road to Revolution is amazing

  86. DRUMMERDALZIEL on October 24, 2008 at 2:44 pm

Happy birthday to the Theory! Anyway, Mike, is there any chance the other guys in the band could do something similar to what you do here on MS.com? (If they don’t already, if so, please hook me up with links!) Not to say reading your opinions and comments to fans isn’t enough, I just thought it’d be equally interesting to the fans to see what Brad though about global warming, or Rob’s opinions on downloading music for example.

    Peace x

  87. tacos_on_tuesday on October 24, 2008 at 2:41 pm

Who is hating on the fools with dubs, hoes & dollas?? I’m all for them flaunting & flossing. Simplified…I never hate on the playa, it’s the game I hate. It’s knowing that as a fan my place is where my money goes. Not whether i like the music, not what my opinion of the music even is. It’s what am I going to spend my $$ on. Tickets, Cd’s, downloads, shirts, crap etc. As someone financially successful I think you could relate with wanting someone not to care just about the money you have. Even for some minimum wage worker the same feeling is invoked that I think industry people fail to realize. Do artist want me at their show cause I enjoy it or cause I paid $60? Thoughts..
