John C. Reilly! Love him! I don’t think the sky will fall if gay couples are allowed to get married. Out of all of those people who voted for it, I do wonder how many of them have had divorces. What irritates me most is that kids as young as 16 can get married and most get divorced a few months later, whereas many gay couples have stayed together for yearssss and fought for the right throughout. Gay couples aren’t going to go away just because they’re not allowed to get married so whats the difference? I think everyone just needs a big cuddle. Burn some candles! x

Weird humor, weird actor. Honestly, I don’t like Jack Black. The only movie I like him is “Enemy of the State” (with Will Smith).

The video is sooooooo funny 😀
It’s interesting for me to see so many discussions about prop 8, becuase I live in Europe and in my country was also discusion about this, but it lasted just for a month and people wasn’t very interested in it.

  8. pd2care on December 7, 2008 at 10:12 am

I wish I had known this was playing. I’d have gone to see it after work, as I work down the street from that theater. Quite a few clients were on the news at the protests, on both sides of the coin.

  9. missdunno on December 7, 2008 at 8:55 am

I haven’t understood everything, but it’s still funny. And just seeing Neil Patrick Harris (without a suit lol) worth it! I love HIMYM!

  21. Dori on December 6, 2008 at 5:31 pm

Mike, that was awesome! All those people in it! I had no idea Jack Black could sing… Very entertaining!

  22. ShadowerLiltani on December 6, 2008 at 5:01 pm

I am so tired of hearing about Prop 8 that I didn’t even watch the video. I totally support gay marriage, I just am tired of hearing about the issue. Also, Secret Asian Man (a.k.a. we know it’s you BRAD. Who else would Mike trust his blog with?), we haven’t see you in a while. I was wondering where you ran off to. Oh, and I’ve been seeing a lot of comments on here about Mike’s “baby”. Where do ya’ll get your info from? Honestly, I question whether or not this is true simply because one, Mike, I can’t picture you with kids, and two, I would have expected you to confirm or deny by now.

  23. MS_Ineedyou on December 6, 2008 at 4:42 pm

Gay marriage is completely acceptable . I don’t know why so many people hate it .

  24. murry on December 6, 2008 at 4:22 pm

This has almost too much awesome in it. First of all, Allison Janney is my freaking hero. C.J. Cregg, I mean, come on! Then there’s Jack Black, from my favorite movie of all time, High Fidelity, and it’s got so many other awesome people. But then it is just brilliant! And did you know that it was written in one day, recorded the next and performed the day after that? Jack Black and John C. Reilly and Marc Shaiman were on Olbermann last night talking about it. Great interview by the way, if you didn’t see it. Anyway, I love it and it makes all the right points while being fabulous and campy and hilarious. Love when NPH says “lesbian” and points at Allison. The look on her face!

  25. cuz on December 6, 2008 at 3:38 pm

Great! And Neil Patrick Harris in it… I was few years old when Doggie Houser MD was on TV in Poland… I liked that so much! I just saw my whole childhood right now 😀

Prop 8 is a big mistake and I hope it won’t make it. Take care 🙂

  26. bryan2426 on December 6, 2008 at 3:31 pm

haha, very funny but true. thanks for posting this up mike 🙂

  27. I_B_Long on December 6, 2008 at 3:05 pm

  30. EpilepticChickenScratch on December 6, 2008 at 2:34 pm

Wow, that was amazing. So true, too. Gay marriages, for the win~!! <33

  31. mike_n_LP_4ever on December 6, 2008 at 1:58 pm

DOOGIE!!!!! aka Neil Patrick Harris!!!! & for those of you who don’t know, he’s the guy with the white button up shirt. =) HAHA! Jack: See ya later sinners! People:Bye Jesus!!!

PS I wonder who ‘Secret Asian Man’ is……?

  32. analoggirl on December 6, 2008 at 1:08 pm

It’s always an issue of money, huh? You’ve inspired me to write my own musical: “Human Rights and Pocket Books: A Love Story.” It may very well be the tipping point for social change. lol

What an interesting time we live in… I wonder what we can achieve in our lifetime and what advancements can be made. Conversely, I wonder what we’ll destroy. What factors precipitate change? Can we attribute our world view to leaders or the group mind? How will our zeitgeist be defined? Gah. Now you’ve got me thinking, Shinoda. :p

  33. sasummsumm on December 6, 2008 at 1:08 pm

    JESUS this was great 😀

  34. PankakeMunky on December 6, 2008 at 12:55 pm

this was great. i love how neil patrick harris is randomly the voice of reason in this clip. i wasn’t even expecting him to be in this at all. but yeah, this is a great clip for those who voted for prop 8 to happen.

  35. Daga280 on December 6, 2008 at 12:50 pm

hahahaha ‘see you later sinners!’ ^^ its soo funny i wish i can watch all musical …

    take care Mike xD

  36. rockermeg on December 6, 2008 at 12:50 pm

    Jack Black is brilliant!
Gays-“Our love is not a sin”
    Homophobes-“Well the bible says so”
Jesus(JB)-“Well the bible says alot of things”
    That’s brilliant!!
    Thanks Secret Asian Man

  37. LPFreak1286 on December 6, 2008 at 12:19 pm

I hope you see this Mike, its one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen.

  38. MarishkaLP on December 6, 2008 at 12:10 pm

  39. Kalini on December 6, 2008 at 12:09 pm

  41. sterilepoon on December 6, 2008 at 11:44 am

pwnd. I am quite in love with this blog, Mike. =]

  42. lynndarwinharris on December 6, 2008 at 11:40 am

Thanx Secret Asian Man. i’m a straight woman, but i dont have right to tell people who to love, or what will make them happy. LOVE KNOWS NO BOUNDRIES…………………btw, love the video.

  43. zimminator on December 6, 2008 at 11:38 am

hahaha i love wacthin these. haha hilarious!!! and i agree with lynnie….just let them have the same rights, seriously they should stop dragging this issue. its gonna have to be accepted eventually anyways, just pass it now lol

  44. Janine1978 on December 6, 2008 at 11:36 am

Very not the best musical, that I’ve seen. But LOL Mike how to get even more time to watch such things from the Internet to search?

  45. Lynnie on December 6, 2008 at 11:25 am

Not the best musical, I’ve ever seen – dude, nothing will ever beat ‘Fiddler On The Roof’.
Having said that, Jack Black and John C. Reilly rock!
And, can I just add, as a bisexual (even if I am in the UK), I have to say that the whole ‘gay marriage’ thing is getting boring… what we do is our business and we should be allowed to marry whoever we want – same sex or otherwise… it’s not like we’re forcing anyone else to participate or acknowledge. Give gays the same rights as everyone else… it’s not like anything will really change, is it? The same prejudices and services will still stand.
    Anywho, yeah… good video!

  46. LiyanaNaznim on December 6, 2008 at 11:25 am

A very interesting way to preach :))
anyway.. i seconded Mikeshi_Linkfort about the unisex marriages.

  47. Shinizzle3 on December 6, 2008 at 11:24 am

    xDD that’s funny^^
@Mikeshi_Linkfort: why are you against it?? these are humans like you and I, why shouldn’t they marry each other if they r in love????

  48. Mikeshi_Linkfort on December 6, 2008 at 11:05 am

Video amusing….. But about… Gays…. I against unisex marriages… Let to me will put a pistol to a head, but I shall be against.

  49. lucky_cat on December 6, 2008 at 11:04 am

Musicals are the only kind of music I hate, but I have to admit: this is cool 🙂
    I like the Jesus!

  50. Jaclyn on December 6, 2008 at 10:31 am

Yeeaah! ROFL video! Thanx Secret Asian Man and Mike! It’s what i wrote in gay marriage comments – it’s a matter of MONEY! )))) Love doesn’t need registrations .
