iGive to Music For Relief

April 21, 2009

I just heard about iGive, a great site where you can donate money to Music For Relief by simply doing the online shopping you are already doing. Very easy, and a great way to help people in need without it costing you a penny!

iGive.com is an internet company whose goal is to enable the economic power of individuals to benefit their chosen communities. iGive.com partners with over 700 of the web’s best stores, including Amazon.com, Pottery Barn, Lands’ End, Staples, eBay, PETCO, Expedia and QVC. From gifts to groceries, special occasions to everyday necessities, every purchase can help Music For Relief. Up to 26% of each and every purchase you make will benefit Music For Relief, and donation rates vary by store.

When you shop, every penny of the advertised donation goes directly to Music For Relief.

To join, use the following link: http://www.iGive.com/MusicForRelief, and Music For Relief will automatically be selected to receive your iGive earnings! You can create an iGive account in just a few moments. Also, your iGive account is totally free and private. They promise not to sell your email address or personal information to anyone (which is always nice).

Check <iGive.com/shop> to see if your favorite store is on the list. Next to each store in the iGive Mall, you’ll see exactly how much of each purchase will be donated to Music For Relief. You can also try <iSearchiGive.com>, their search engine–you’ll raise a penny (or more!) every time you search the web.

It is good that you always keep reminding us to help other sufferers, by organizing MFR, providing useful information, promoting relevant activities, and advising easy donation ways. Now I’m here to give my genuine thanks to all those influencers (whatever he/she is artist, actor, singer, writer..) who dedicate to share love with people in need. Mike, please keep it up, and I do love your blog keep updated all the time.

Mike I love what you and the whole band is doing! It’s great to see your favorite band to make actions like that and try to help other people! I’m proud of you! Of course I’m going to search iGive! I chatted with Phi-Phi last night! I’m so glad to learn that ‘Music for relief’ merch like bandanna (awesome!!!) will be available for purchase at the European shows just like Projekt Rev and also in Greece! It’s good to try help people that they need us! Keep the great work Mike!!!

Cool! I like that there’s more ways to help. And that makes the internet even more useful. I think it can make more people focus on the problems we can resolve. Thanks for pointing this great website out! Have a nice day🙂

Well, i don’t shop online…But i DO use Google constantly, so maybe i will begin using the iGive search engine instead. That way there, i can raise money for a good organization while searching for lyrics/biographies/homework answers lol. Thanks!

Thanks for the info! It’s a good option for donating money to MFR. KK

  21. Maaark on April 21, 2009 at 10:47 am

That’s great Mike. It sucks there are no Brazilian online stores on iGive’s list. Maybe I’ll start buying some stuff from Amazon, even it’ll cost me a little more. I really want to help MFR, to be more involved with it.

Oh yea, Phoenix’s chat was awesome. We couldn’t ask questions about the new album, which sucked (actually we could, but the mods were like ‘if your question’s not about MFR, the chances it’ll be passed to Phoenix aren’t great’). I had a question about MFR but the mods didn’t choose it. Maybe you could answer it? I just wanted to know how much LP gets involved with MFR and if it’s up to you to decide about your upcoming projects.

Have a nice Tuesday Mike, take care!
