Interesting. Your new piece is called “Follow the Leader,” but instead of Eric B. and Rakim, we’re treated to Ice Cube and Marlon Brando. At least Brando’s rocking the big ass gold chain from the album cover. haha
Also, interesting video from Ron English. His methods are controversial but I do like the medium.

Your new piece looks really good! Just from the looks of it the man on the left looks like Ice Cube. Hopefully i’m right & my eye sight hasn’t gone completely crazy. That’s Y I have this site on my Fave list bsides me coming here basically everyday becuz you post & share different art, music, and random things including answering, helping, & hearing fans out. I do also appreciate that you helped answer my question regarding “She couldn’t”. All I hav 2 say is legal splegal..yea yea. The law sumtimes do suk. Now I know why LP had never performed NE of the songs on Hybrid Theory EP even if your fans requested it I hope you,LP, & your families are doing good and are in good health.

Mike!can i ask something?how do you feel about Jackson’s death?i mean i don’t know if you liked Jackson or not!but, many artists feel sorry for him!and some are participating in his memorial .but you don’t even write about him?so i think you didn’t like him yep?

    Hello.
I’m your biggest fan from Norway!!! And I love LP!
I’m going to get a new bank card and on this card I can have any pictures I want. So it would be cool if I could have a LP pictures. That would make my LP collection so special. But my bank sais that I cant have a pictures of someone on this card if those who are on it haven’t said that is okey. So do you and you all mind?

It’s difficult to believe for me,I’m really writing to you,Mike…I’ve got a question.I write songs, lyrics. And I just wanted to ask you for…review.Sometimes I feel,I do it well, but I don’t know, can I believe myself?Or maybe I’m simply bad at it…It’s one of my greatest dreams,to hear, what do you think about my song.Unfortunately,I can’t play it,although I’ve got the music in my mind.I really want to try to write a real song for a real band;maybe my dream is utterly impossible, but I’m still trying to believe it,make it come true.So is it possible for me,to write to you with this song? And how can I do it?I hope, everything, what I’ve written wasn’t too bold?I’m begging for response.Paulina

I love this movie and it was pretty cool to see your ‘eyes’ on it🙂 Amazing work, love your style! I wish I could see that ‘face to face’, it should be awesome to see how you work with colors and textures and everything…. Love, Pat

You are good in drawing portraits. I like it. Do you like Ice Cube’s new album? He promoted his new album in Europe. He had a great live show in Sofia in April. I didn’t go to his concert, because I’ve never been a NWA fan, but everyone said that he made a much better live show than Snoop Dogg’s show in Sofia last September. Everyone said Snoop is great, Ice Cube is the best! You can see a part of his show in Sofia: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cnkap-Qru8M Comparing the new to the old rappers you can see the difference very easy. Why do you think the hip hop music changed so much and actually became so commercial? K

Mike’s busy again !.. Ok now a little comment for ur piece of art .. Perfect , you can describe the chill expression of Marlon Brando & Ice Cube with a very expressive , detailed and clear without losing the beauty of MS Typical Art .. u’re a genius ! .. one question how much should I pay you to paint my face daddy🙂 ? btw My mom go to LA to attend the MJ’s funeral ( yes she’s a huge fans of him ) if you meet her .. please tell her do not go anywhere coz there is a danger city, especially for old women like her LOL !!

Mike i have an question that i would like to be answered by you in the next Mike’s response

my question is that would there be a Guitar Hero: Linkin Park or a Rock Band: Linkin Park Game coming to xbox 360,Ps3 ,Wii PC?

and would you like to see that happen?

  16. lucky_cat on July 4, 2009 at 5:24 pm

I agree with Shadowerliltani … it’s hard to say something … I say it looks awesome so far, it makes me curious, the dude looks scary, foremost related to the title. I wouldn’t follow him … and, yes, you are recognizable in the colors.
For me it was a nice day, I was looking at so many art work today on my visit to the “Urban Affairs”. It was great, I think I’ll upload the pictures somewhere and leave a link here, it might be interesting.
    Good night!

  17. ShadowerLiltani on July 4, 2009 at 3:13 pm

It’s very hard for me to comment on a piece of your art that isn’t finished. I’m going to avoid making a complete ass of myself like I did when I talked shit about your helmet painting and then later on read the words “in progress”. I’m not gonna lie, I have my ditzy moments… (Just be glad I’m not blonde. Then it would be a serious issue).

  18. LPFan on July 4, 2009 at 2:50 pm

They look AMAZING Mike, your so so creative. I’ve taken art & I hope I get as good as you (v low chances, but oh well)😄

  20. cuz on July 4, 2009 at 2:15 pm

Dude, you’re genius! That new piece is amazing! I love your way of painting. Can’t wait for the whole one.

  21. Carla on July 4, 2009 at 1:58 pm

    Your painting is great! Looks like some digital work in there? Very cool how you made the layers of paint vector-ish. Like wow, I admire your godlike, steady hand and attention to detail. ;o;

  22. gaby_ on July 4, 2009 at 1:56 pm

awwww amazing …. u still can draw … :DDDD

  23. Madlen on July 4, 2009 at 1:43 pm

  25. Curiosa on July 4, 2009 at 12:47 pm

Contrary to what other people are saying, I think the song “she couldn’t” is ok. However, I love your painting for the GFT show! Definitely an awesome piece!

What? No happy 4th of July to people in the US?? I’ve noticed you’ve stopped writing comments like that lately. Hmmm…are you ok or just too busy? Anyway Happy 4th of July!😛

I can’t believe it! 97 degrees & I’m planning on going back out there. lol Anyway have a good weekend.🙂

Mike, you were in the hospital? A problem with your health? Please tell us, we are concerned!

  28. Eddie on July 4, 2009 at 10:26 am

Cool image!!!!🙂 But Mike, everytime I’m logged in, I can’t view and comment at your previous post, the new “Responses To Comments”….

  29. rockermeg on July 4, 2009 at 10:19 am

Yeah the last “Responses to Comments” keeps coming and going, it’s weird.
You have to do some art shows abroad; people are missing out!!!
But woah that’s really weird. In a good way…but yeah. Totally different to what you’ve done before. But you can see your style in the colours. Like the blue outline and the yellow tie thing around his neck…to be honest just the style you painted his face sets it out from your other pieces, very detailed. But still quite…pop-arty.
The toys are great xD look like something Suru would have😛

  30. Maaark on July 4, 2009 at 10:19 am

Hey Mike! I don’t know why, but the “Responses to fans” blog disappears when I log in, so I’ll comment it on this post ok? Hope you don’t mind. I gotta say “She Couldn’t” is a good song, I really like it. I wonder if you didn’t release it how we can find it on Youtube now? Also very interesting your opinion about the music industry and this “revolution” that’s about to happen. We think alike!

Now my comment about the art show, I really like the image you posted, wish I was in LA to check it out. Are you drawing anything else for the art show?

Take care man, have a nice weekend!

  31. Wotur11 on July 4, 2009 at 10:18 am

    o.O first comment! I’m honored!😀
That piece is awesome! Weldone Mike! I have to say that it differs from your style of drawing🙂 That’s cool, trying new ideas and stuff🙂
Btw I had a prob the other day…You made a “responces to comments” post yesterday. I saw it and read it, but when I signed in LPN or LPU to leave you a comment the post dissapeared! And still I cant see it! :S Anyways, good answers and thx for giving away the details to “she couldn’t”. It’s a great song🙂
    Have a happy 4th of July Mike🙂 Enjoy it🙂
PS. Did you hear that U2 did a cover of a couple of MJ’s songs in one of their recent concert? Check it out here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jWHAUx31HY0
