Piece for SURU's "Celeritas"

July 10, 2009

Here’s a pic of my helmet…it’s really hard to get a feel for how this thing came out without seeing it in person. It looks bubbly and textured, like the whole thing is melting into color. Plus, I added some of the little skull head characters. Fun project…see you there tomorrow…

Thanks for sharing pic of your art helmet. I do agree that seeing the art work has a better effect than seeing it in a pic. Are you heading now to the Motorcycle Helmet art designing? HMMMM thinks
I hope you, LP, and your families are doing good and are in good health. ๐Ÿ™‚

Cool helmet. One question I’ve had in mind since yesterday 7/11/09. Have u ever layed in bed and looked up at a ceiling that has texture and see figures? Then run to your drawing paper and draw it. Kind of like when u lay outside during day or night and see figures in the clouds or connect the stars.

  14. mike_n_LP_4ever on July 11, 2009 at 3:03 pm

I put that exact same thing when you first startd talking about this. “I wish I cud see it in person, cuz its not the same looking at it in a picture.” …Something like that. ๐Ÿ˜› But that’s wat I said. Must be really cool for everyone who’s going. Have a nice show with Joe(and others) tonight Mike. ๐Ÿ™‚

  15. cuz on July 11, 2009 at 2:53 pm

  16. Curiosa on July 11, 2009 at 2:20 pm

Hey Mike have fun today. ๐Ÿ™‚ The way u’ve described it, it does sound like u’d get a beter feel of it n person. Nice. ๐Ÿ™‚ Hopefully 1 day I’ll get 2 c it in person. ๐Ÿ™‚ I am so glad I don’t use pics of me on the web. It avoids some very unpleasant situations. lol ๐Ÿ˜‰

Check out this robot chef. Prety cool especially the robot fish. Have a gr8 day. ๐Ÿ™‚

    Te avienta flores. ๐Ÿ˜‰ lol

@ShadowerLiltani digital aren’t as detailed as film ๐Ÿ™‚

  17. durg on July 11, 2009 at 1:22 pm

shouldve done it with the paint dripping sideways so it looks like the wind is blowing it back while the person has it on XDD, if that makes any sense.. but its awesome the way it is. ๐Ÿ˜€

  18. ShadowerLiltani on July 11, 2009 at 12:10 pm

Thanks for posting the pics like we asked. Lol, you are becoming a slave to our demands XD I do wish I could see it in person, but ya know how it goes, I’m living on the other side of the country. Why doncha hop your butt over to my state once in a while, and bring some life back to New Haven, a city which has the crappiest art festival ever. It’s a shame the festival sucks, because New Haven is like a mini NYC. (Do you realize how popular you are in Connecticut? Almost everyone I know likes LP). Maybe take some close up pics of it with a digital? I wanna see this bubbly texture you’re talking about.

  29. Wotur11 on July 11, 2009 at 6:07 am

omGOSH love it!!! the skulls are simple but really impressive! but why dont you try to put more red splash onto it? or may be red skulls? black ones are ok but red might help it set off! anyway you still rock! >.< wish i could have one like this =”=

  30. thenewLinkinPete on July 11, 2009 at 4:01 am

Nice, I actually painted some backgrounds, which Iยดm planning to draw on, and maybe the idea of letting the paint drip like that came somehow from your work (the FM stuff). Iยดm planning to do one based on “Valentineยดs Day”, your music is inspiring, I find MTMยดs sound especially arty ๐Ÿ™‚ Is anyone gonna actually wear the helmet? I dig the characters alot ๐Ÿ™‚

  31. andreas215 on July 11, 2009 at 1:10 am
