Hey Mike, I was also one of the lucky one to be able to participate in the members only event. i just want to say thank you for doing that and bringing an entirely new and in depth look into your work. it’s one thing for us to assume what you’re thinking and another to actually hear it. It put everything on a new plateau for me.Great job Much respect
    Thanks

  16. Heydy on August 31, 2009 at 8:06 am

Hey Mike! Oh my gosh, I was totally stunned by the photos from your show! I was eating, but the food cooled down before I even touched it – that’s what happens when you focus on beautiful pieces of art instead of eating…😉 I absolutely loved all the works, but based on the photos I could say that “Memento Immortalis” and “Sketch for 4 Seasons” are my favorites.🙂 This is one of those moments when I just simply hate living in Finland…:/ Well, I’ll just have to wait for the book to come on sale…🙂 All the best to you with the show and everything else that is going on at the moment!

  17. AyersRock on August 31, 2009 at 8:00 am

The pics are great! And the paintings are absolutely fantastic! Great work! =D

  18. Manongross on August 31, 2009 at 7:43 am

    Mike, your exposure is wonderful.
Each work more beautiful than the other.
This food gave me hungry, hehe ….
I was watching the dvd of Linkin Park and I think his attitude of going to the fans when he sings, something glorious ..
Not anyone who does this ….
    Why I love you.
    Hugs.
    Jorge.

I have to say, that this is quite possibly the most profound, meaningful, vibrant art show I’ve ever seen. I can tell that the artist (you) has put a lot effort in to concluding the star’s story — from his shoot up to the gigantic piece, “Icon” to his fall as a defamed “Sellout” of a smaller appearance — surrounded by the tabloids that once made him famous; which are now working against him. And that chrome skeleton is badass. I’d want it in my house. So is the bike…but I think I’ll leave that up to people who like to live dangerously, lol. Good job, Mike! I hope you can do an art show like this some where in NYC in the future.

  20. JPkaukonen on August 31, 2009 at 7:18 am

  26. JoeyDC on August 31, 2009 at 5:38 am

Congrats to such an amazing art gallery! I love each of your pieces, and the more I look at them the more I love art🙂. You are such a talented artist, Mike, and yet you still remain down-to-earth and interact with your fans. That is so much appreciated! By the way, I know you are a very private man and I think everyone should respect that. I know fans are so excited that you are a daddy now and you have a lovely family. I can understand that, but I guess you should mention on your blog that you want your private life to remain private! I’m quite certain you don’t want your babies photos all over the internet, and I’m sure fans want you no harm either. Just make your point of view clear…

  27. msgirl on August 31, 2009 at 5:33 am

  31. godforgotmywings on August 31, 2009 at 4:24 am

I had the privilage of taking part in your event for members of the JANM today, and I just want to say THANK YOU! It was so gracious of you to take the time to speak to us about your work, and to personally walk us through the gallery. There should be more artists like you that actually take the time to give back to the fans. You are brilliantly talented and yet you remain so humble. For that, I have endless amounts of respect for you. (And your work, well, that speaks for itself!)

Guys, if you live in the L.A. area, you have GOT to get down to JANM and check out GE!! Mike really outdid himself this time, you are seriously missing out if you don’t go!

Hey Mike, dont wanna disturb you, but please check out this video::: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NSdQZOJ7rp4 …its a New Divide parody made by the Bleeding Soldiers (Linkin Park fans from Peru) – btw Im not from Peru. CONGRATULATIONS for your art show and for your son! ;))

  36. bec on August 31, 2009 at 3:09 am

Those pictures are really amazing – lots of pink, I like pink. (I’m a physicist and have very limited knowledge of art – I do however find these pretty…hope that is okay???)

Congratulations – looks like everything went well. (and the matching black&white checked outfits are beyond cute!)

  37. highlandpark on August 31, 2009 at 2:21 am

Congrats on your art show opening! I did notice on the majority of your pieces you incorporated the color purple and pink. Including the pieces from Last year’s GLXS (Born). Any particular reason or is it your favorite color? I’m aware the color purple is also associated with royalty and nobility. Thanks for signing my book & shoes!

  38. Mikado on August 31, 2009 at 2:11 am

Congrats on the opening of your great art show GLXS-Dies. I wish I could be there to admire your beautiful work. But I saw a lot of fantastic pics on different sides, like “Known Gallery”, “Notcut”, “Daily Dujour”, “the Hundreds”, “Muramura” and at the gallery of “The Linkin Park Times.com”, the webside I visit the most times after “LP.com”, MS.com” and “LPU.com”. Your work is awesome…you´re awesome. …and I saw a pic of you, Anna and your baby… is it your baby? Awesome work too, hahaha, really nice. Good luck to you, your show and your beautiy little family.😀

  39. ms_shock on August 31, 2009 at 2:10 am

Your art and your son are amazing! You’re the happiest man in the world. Congrates, Mike. Best wishes, from the heart and the soul. Take care!

Hey Mike! Congrats on a great show! I really love your work and ended up buying your skateboard titled “The Good Life.” Thank you very much for taking the time to sign my skateboard deck, Meteora album, and take a couple pics with my friend and I; I really appreciate it! Keep up the good work.

  45. miKer0cks on August 31, 2009 at 12:48 am

amazing !!!! love ur work😉 u r great as usual :DDD

  47. Crimson_Rose on August 31, 2009 at 12:15 am

I couldn’t see GLXS ‘live’. I was sure, all paintings would be nice, but now I’m watching them, and I see, I’ve made a huge mistake. They aren’t even nice…they’re wonderful. Gorgeous. Colour combinations; expressing emotions; even reporting, showing some events from the main character’s life (I see it, between lines…I don’t know, am I sure, but I’m trying to understand it)…they’re both real and fantasy, they all connect two worlds. Two? No, more than two. Sharp shapes have got different meaning than blurred contours, for me (even, comparing pictures in Setita’s comment…). What more? I wish, I were there. Contratulations, Mike!

  48. LcatP on August 31, 2009 at 12:09 am

You are funny Setita. Anyway.. yeah those are really great sites. I heard the food was good.. the lady passed by me with some food while I was in line after getting merch haha. Thanks again Mike! Hope you get some chill time after all your hard work even though you’re a workaholic🙂 . Take Care,
    -Cat.

  49. Anstice on August 30, 2009 at 11:56 pm

So neat. Good to see people are giving such good reviews. Congratulations on a show that was a hit =)

  50. Setita on August 30, 2009 at 11:48 pm

So there are my two favorites pieces of art:

Because it’s the only one i would like to have on my wall

    and

Because it’s the only one which causes any emotion inside me

The rest looks like a plastic kids toys.

  51. JamesWong on August 30, 2009 at 11:26 pm

Hope I could study in an Art School, all those arts are sooo awesome!
