Win a Piece of Glorious Excess!

September 14, 2009

YOU have a chance to win a unique piece of the Glorious Excess (Dies) art show!

If you came to the show or saw the images online, you know there is huge row of poster prints that makes up the entrance. I hand “vandalized” each one, making each a unique, original piece.

Music For Relief is putting on the raffle; Suru, Club Tattoo, and DC Shoes are helping spread the word. You can get tickets at any of their locations, or at this link:

140 people will win a poster print.

2 winners will get a print plus a DC shoes prize package valued at $200.

One grand prize winner will get a print, the DC package, and two tickets to a Linkin Park show and a meet and greet with members of the band.

Here’s the info:

Glorious Excess (Dies) will be open at the Japanese American National Museum, Los Angeles through October 4th.

  14. Polina on September 15, 2009 at 8:52 am

Oh unfortunatly i can’t take a part in the raffle… 😦 Well although I can help to MFR I promote your art as I can 🙂 I painted your pic on my t-shirt and when somebody askes me “What is it? What does it mean?” I answer “It’s Mike Shinoda’s art. Look for more info on or visit his exhibition in LA” 😀

P.S. In last LPU chat you was asked about possibility of being your art on LPU9 t-shirt. So just change signature on the back side to “Memento Immortalis LPUnderground 9” ;D

Yo Mike. I just wanted to let you know that I was at the Gallery last Saturday with my little sister. We both really enjoyed it. My favorite piece was of Cobain. The eyes were mesmerizing. I loved the big piece after the coffin as well. Thanks for doing awesome art that really speaks. RIP to all the artists.

    Only U.S. Residents or not?

    Lode from Belgium

  24. p_lane on September 14, 2009 at 1:56 pm

I bought 20 tickets just now and I’ll probably buy some more when I get paid on Friday. I hope I win at least one of the prints, but the grand prize would be sweet especially since I don’t have the most luck with these things. Doesn’t hurt to try, plus it’s for charity.

  25. lp_fm_fan on September 14, 2009 at 1:55 pm

I would love to get it, I wonder how much I can spend, lol.

Btw, when I tried to buy the raffle tickets I got this… “To order raffle tickets for the Mike Shanoda Glorious Excess Dies Raffle, please complete the following online Order Form. Once you have completed the Order Form, you will be able to submit it via a secure router, which will encrypt the information so that others can not view your personal information. ”

Mike Shanoda? Uhhh? Wow, lol. Anyway, this caught my attention too: “2 winners will get a print plus a DC shoes prize package valued at $200.” DC shoes YOU designed, right? If so, MSDC|SURU shoes?
