Maybe it’s very strange, but I’d never heard about such band as Wale, Homeboy Sandman and Editors oO
But when I saw this post, I decided to listen all theese albums.
It was very unexpectedly for me that I liked it)

  6. Jo_o8 on November 18, 2009 at 3:16 am

Good to see an Australian band from Melbourne-The Temper Trap in your top 5. They have some great tunes on that album.

  7. Ang on November 17, 2009 at 11:30 am

Homeboy Sandman is a genius and never ceases to amaze. I am excited to see what the future holds for him, but for now I’ll focus on enjoying Actual Factual…

  8. ayso on November 16, 2009 at 11:42 pm

    i liked your five.

  9. Meeshie on November 16, 2009 at 1:01 pm

Blessed with Homeboy Sandman’s “Actual Factual Pterodactyl” several months ago, I have had the privilege to give each song at least a few listens. Homeboy Sandman’s addicting beats and insightful lyrics will grab your attention and certainly keep you coming back for more. As an added bonus, which you can see from the “Lightening Bolt, Lightening Rod” video, Homeboy Sandman adds a humorous dimension to his rhymes as he simultaneously portrays deep and thought provoking issues. Reminding listeners of their inner child as he opens their eyes to social issues, Homeboy Sandman’s “Actual Factual Pterodactyl” is a blessing without much disguise.

  10. Dori on November 15, 2009 at 11:17 pm

The Temper Trap was cool! Pretty sweet video too

Keep yourself healthy!!! Lots of bad germs floating through the air these days

  11. GBang on November 15, 2009 at 7:14 pm

Homeboy Sandman’s Actual Factual is an absolute must buy! All true hip-hop fans, this is a break from the trash on the radio.

  12. ShadowerLiltani on November 15, 2009 at 4:03 pm

I was going to tease you about your taste in music, but then I realized my taste isn’t any better. No really, I’m addicted to Super Junior and Gackt for heaven’s sake. Hey, are you ever gonna let us share OUR playlists with you? I think it’d be kinda fun to give you a taste of our taste.

  13. lucky_cat on November 15, 2009 at 2:34 pm

Hmmm, I can’t decide who I like more: The Temper Trap – Sweet Disposition or The Editors – Papillon. Maybe I like the Temper Trap song more and The Editors’ video … Homeboy Sandman is absolutely funny and fresh … The Muse have the best video, very creative …
    Thank you for your recommendations!

  14. NaheemAdio on November 15, 2009 at 1:30 pm

Yo! Homeboy Sandman is one of the dopest Emcees alive … I cannot help but listen to him all the time – his lyricism is incomparable … my lastFM page exploits me, lol …

  33. pepper on November 14, 2009 at 4:29 pm

I love muse!! The resistance is a great album. Im over at their site all the time and I remember there was an interview up and a question was “do you ever play guitar hero?” and matt or chris responded by saying no, but “sometimes we see some other bands on tour playing. one time i remember looking into linkin parks dressing room and seeing a bunch of their guys playing but we dont really” I dont know if this is true but thats what they said lol I didnt know you guys ever played a show together that woulda been awesome to see! I imagine it was a festival

  34. D_Frap on November 14, 2009 at 2:59 pm

wow….no way are you going to be able to read this after all those comments.
i saw you and the SOB crew this day (14th Nov) in the UK for FM tour 4 YEARS AGO. i didnt realise til i started my own blog site today and i was talking about LP, FM, your site….etc etc. blahdy blah. checked the date and almost died. i went through crazy shit, like selling my soul to the devil and strapping a rocket to my back to get to see you guys and at M&G too. anywayz, i gave your site a heads up. i only started it today so it’s bare, in time it’ll get buzzing.
blog will have other music things i wana talk about, like old and new artists. take care of yourself. xx

  35. Madlen on November 14, 2009 at 2:34 pm

  38. plusmybones on November 14, 2009 at 12:28 pm

Nice. I’m still trying to figure out how your music taste works. Sometimes we’re incredibly similar and sometimes we just don’t click. Moving on, the Temper Trap record I wasn’t really impressed with. I thought it was kind of ordinary. Sweet Disposition was good though. Muse, I don’t get them.

    my list (if you’re interested).

    Dead Weather – Horehound.
Julian Casablancas – Phrazes For The Young.
Phoenix – Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix (remix collection).
Twilight Saga – New Moon Soundtrack (hate all the saga but this is such a great soundtrack. Grizzly Bear, Bon Iver, Lykke Li & St. Vincent. Brilliant).
Jay-Z – Blueprint III (I’m still trying to digest this. It gets better with time). x

  39. nEAnnamV3 on November 14, 2009 at 10:20 am

  41. rockermeg on November 14, 2009 at 10:08 am

That is pretty random to be honest…
    Lady Gaga? Really?
‘Conditions’ has been on a couple of adverts (“commercials”) recently
Don’t like Muse’s new stuff that much

  42. antje on November 14, 2009 at 9:34 am

definitively muse “the resistance”…..this album is awesome….

  43. sandra on November 14, 2009 at 8:32 am

Wow! 3 out of 5 I do actually listen to heavily atm – 1 / 3 / 5. All great choices. Oh, but you should also add “The gossip – Music for men” and a-ha’s “Foot of the mountain” to your playlist (ok, the last one doesn’t really fit into this musical selection but it’s also a great, great album – and YES, they are still around and there was so much more after “Take on me” LOL).

  44. Charlotte_Jay on November 14, 2009 at 8:25 am

Good selection, Muse is the best out of them, I really like their music, thanks πŸ™‚

  52. Diamondback on November 14, 2009 at 6:31 am

The first time I heard ‘Sweet Disposition’, I liked it immediately. MUSE WILL FOREVER BE ONE OF THE BEST BANDS OF THIS CENTURY! I thought Editors’ new album was pretty different, but I haven’t heard it in its entirety so I can’t really judge. Glad to know I’m listening to what Mike Shinoda is digging too.

  53. LeeAnne on November 14, 2009 at 6:26 am

  59. lovableFreak on November 14, 2009 at 4:06 am

when i started the temper trap video, i was like: ‘dude, i know that sound!’ they sound so much like AHA in the beginning. also the singer’s voice has some similarity to Morten Harket… AHA reminds me of my childhood, cause my parentsused to listen to them over and over. πŸ™‚ i like this song by ‘the temper trap’ though.
and when i watched homeboy sandman i had to laugh… really… so hilarious… i don’t know whether i should like it or not. the song wit lady gaga’ll be great for parties. i’m sure! so thank you for recommending those songs!

  60. Ezza on November 14, 2009 at 4:03 am

Hello, Mike. Some days ago World for all of us has collapsed. With inexplicable for us reasons had broken up german group Panik. You perhaps remember and know them, because you was praising their music. This group should live, because they are very talented. It’s not much than 2 months since Panik released their Second and like it’s turned out – last album. 11 november they had announced about the breaking up of group. It’s painful. And we appeal to you – if you have some opportunities to help them in any way and do something, so PLEASE, do it. We need your assistance. Please.
