Linkin Park: video for “Not Alone”

February 13, 2010

For those who haven’t seen, here’s the premiere of the NEW VIDEO for NOT ALONE, our song from the Download To Donate album.  Thanks to the UN Foundation for the footage from Haiti, and our amazing team who shot and edited the video. Our thoughts and prayers are still with the people of Haiti.

When I saw this video, I felt like I´m part of it. (Every year I´m working for UNICEF project.) It´s great that you´re pointing on the problems like this and show, what´s going on in this world. By the way, the song´s energy is really good for this song. But there is one thing that made me confused. This how you were sitting in the studio and Chester with his good looking. I don´t know, is it really idoneous for this video.

    Hey MIKE
I am true fan of LP and started to make musics and writing lyrics.
I have made one dark music, I would feel like I am the luckiest guy If you use it in SAW 3D or where ever you like, here is the link

This music is made in FLStudio and the 1st 3 pics in the video are made by me, rest of them is taken from the internet.

  5. richardmcginty on September 18, 2010 at 10:48 am

    Hi Mike,

I covered “QWERTY” with Alex McMillan on YouTube and now WMG has given him a 2nd strike so he had to take down all his videos… How about talking to your label about their copyright policies? He didn’t even USE any copyrighted material…

I hope you read this and actually give it some thought.

I don’t know how you do it, but you guys are amazing! Every time I think you can’t get any better, you put out something like this that leaves me in tears. From the music to the words, to the combination of them both and Chester’s voice. Can it get any better than this? I don’t think so, but I’m sure there will be something on this next album that will blow me away yet again! Love you guys!!

  26. anhnguyet on May 24, 2010 at 9:47 am

I’m so happy to find out this site, at the very beginning when I first listened to LP, I thought Chester could only scream. But I changed my mind right after listened to My December, and next is this song – Not alone, Chester’s voice is nice and he can sing any kind of music. Those melodies are so touching and the lyrics are meaningful as well.
It’s not a lie that you take the lead to my love of Rock. Hope you will keep trying and I can meet you one day in Asia. Love U! ^^

  86. Alexandra Nofi (Shadower_Liltani) on February 14, 2010 at 10:22 am

I watched the video the other day. Really wonderful. It kind of leave you a little speechless at first. I love the clip when the rescue workers hand the woman the phone, and then you see the one guy petting her arm. It’s a nice reality check. Interestingly enough, if you go on youtube, there are people complaining that the song could be better, and making comments about the quality of the video too. Then they turn it into MTM debates. This is such a lack of maturity, humanity, and they are in need of a serious reality check.

  87. Alexandra2960 on February 14, 2010 at 9:31 am

Hey everyone, I really like this song, it makes me think about what we could lost in just a seconds… Great job guys <'3

  88. dronnington on February 14, 2010 at 9:27 am

Clip is really strong, but a few things mismatch: dead, poor people and at the same time you sitting in studio(in some cadres with indifference faces)and Chester with (sunglasses?)I think it’s little bit inconsistently, don’t you think so? But that you reveal this problem is great/

  89. Зарина on February 14, 2010 at 9:25 am

    Hi Mike !!!
It is sad what is happening in Haiti
There are so many poor families affected by the earthquake.
    ;(
So many dead people were on the road.
    These projections hands frightened me.
    Mike why these things happen???
    This is seriously scary …

    ***Claudia***

  98. Daniele Rodrigues on February 14, 2010 at 6:25 am

Linkin Park always made a great job. Perhaps the video is so sad, a lot of pictures of dead people from Haiti. Touching people to donate.

Not Alone – has become my favorite song and always will be. And one of the reason for it – this song makes us think about the terrible disaster that happened in Haiti. I believe it’s a good way to tell everybody that we must be together and not to be indifferent to people’s suffering.
Thank you guys for make us think.

Cool video, and cool lyrics, but as an honest fan, I have to say the music needed a bit more work…

Who was the director Mike? Did Joseph direct it, or someone else??

I got goosebumps every time i hear this song.. Chester’s voice is so powerful…even my 4y/o son Clyde keeps on singing Not Alone. you guys really did a great job on this.

and the video is very touching, seeing how the Haitians suffered makes me so sad…😦

I believe this is the most touching video you guys have ever done! It’s really sad to watch all these dead people at the beggining but as the video continues it gives you strength and hope that in the end eveything is gonna be alright. My fave part is “with arms up…” where it shows the people getting the help UNICEF and other organizations have sent. Seriously this the most meanigful song for me right after Hands Held High🙂

I’ve donated money, to the raffle thing and now…I’m not financially stable (soon though, will be better, I hope) I did post the widget everywhere I could! As soon as I get money I’ll donate<3

It’s such a touching video. The scenes from Haiti are always so upsetting but the song really went well with it. Everytime I’ve watched it it just makes me want to do anything to help those poor people😦 The video is amazing, the song is amazing…good job LP😀

    Hey Mike~!
Sorry i can’t view the video; my hostel’s wi-fi has blocked all video content😦 but i’ll make it a point to watch it when i go home next week.
Anyway, I absolutely love the song and can’t get it out of my head. I subconsciously hum it in class (my classmates n teachers think i’m nuts).
    Thanks for everything~!

Mike the song is awesome! I really like the lyrics. The 1 minute outro was very amazing as well. (Was it made by Joe?)
The video is very touching, I can really feel the expression of people, well done!
