Guest Blogger Wanted

March 18, 2010

I need a guest blogger.  So this month, our LPUnderground fan club is hosting a contest to fill the position.

Here’s the deal: you have to be a member of LPU, and you have to have seen our band play live.  You post a blog entry on your site or ours, and let us know about it.

Five winners get a prize pack, but the top entry gets re-posted here as a guest post on mikeshinoda.com for all to see.  Sound awesome?  That’s because it is.

    I know u’ll not understand the words. But only the music gives me chills. I got so many memories. And I send u this music video to show u that even poor kids who basically live only with bread and water can do amazing things and can try really hard to achieve something better from what they have now.
    Please give a minute to see them and their music. I know u’ll like them too.

    It’s a pity I am not LPU member and haven’t seen LP live(((
    but I can write well. I wrote poems in Russian and in English, I write prose and translate LP lyrics
    so why don’t not-members of LPU have a chance?

    Convenient that I just renewed my membership, and happened to see you play live back in 2008.

    I just gotta say two things: One, I am going to put my entry on my blog once my membership is activated and I can see all the rules (click my username for my blog, obviously). I promise this time to behave myself, lol. Number two, since this is YOUR BLOG, I think you should pick the winner, if you haven’t already decided to do that. You’re the one who best knows what, and who, should be on your blog.

    Well, it’s a shame all good stuff’s only for LPU members… I’m from Argentina and LP is my favourite band… But I don’t have the money to join LPU and I haven’t seen LP live cause you never came to South America…
    Good luck for the ones who have the chance to participate and for the rest of us, I guess we’ll just have to wait for our shot… Maybe someday it’ll be our time…
    By the way, it’d be cool to do something that involves all fans, not just the ones who can afford a membership.

    You are running loads of fab competitions but some of us cannot join LPU as we cannot get through ‘clique’ getting frustrated at missing opportunities…following loads of US bands but UK fans don’t seem to get same deal?? Can you just have a site you can join bypassing whatever clique is…sorry I am a techno-twat, want to support the band and can’t! Maybe it is just me???

    Im so sad :(
    I have almost 10 years listening LP but I have never seen them…..But I know that you will come to Southamerica coming soon ’cause here in Peru bands like Metallica, Iron Maiden, Korn, Kiss, Gun&Roses, Aerosmith, etc already have come and LP sounds a lot here!!!!

    Dammit Mike! Why do we have to pay money in order to possibly be a guest blogger? I have only six dollars in my possession currently and would kill to be able to write not only for you guys, but for anyone really. It’s the one thing I do well, and will never stop doing.
    Do what you will, it’s just a shame. I’ve been a fan since I was 12 years old, and that was nine years ago. If this wasn’t your decision, screw everything I’ve ever been told. Good luck to whomever gets it.
