Japanese Pop Group: Regular Girl Groups Weren’t Robotic Enough

October 22, 2010

Way to go, Japan.  You totally raised the bar.

I’m getting 10 of these robots, and putting them on our stage as our backup dancers.  Then, we’ll add a tagline to our tour posters: “Linkin Park, now with 100% more ‘creepy.'”

(Thanks to Disgrasian for finding this clip)

i made a point of watching this later last year when u posted it, but i never got the time. then for a while now they’ve been airing this korean pop music tour on tv, its simply disturbing- it reminded me of this video.
I think it’s people with this kind of rotten mentality that attracted the rage of the god of seas and caused the tsunami. =.=”

  16. randoms98 on October 22, 2010 at 12:20 pm

Yeah you should also get a monkey that dances when you play “When They Come For Me”, but he’ll also wait on you hand and foot backstage. Yep living the dream!

  17. adiek84 on October 22, 2010 at 11:41 am

She should sing a cover of Marina and the Diamonds’ “I am not a Robot”!

  18. whosmurry on October 22, 2010 at 8:42 am

Great, now we have to worry about pop stars becoming sentient and turning on us, too.

  19. tanja3582 on October 22, 2010 at 7:12 am

    OMG! LOL

You think this is intense? HA! You ought to listen to the bands from the Korean label, “SM Entertainment”. (First of all, their company name suggests something, lol). Those are some of the most robotic sounds people ever. I have nothing against their band, Super Junior (their song, “Don’t Don” is even worth being listened to by you), but other bands like Shinee and SNSD are nothing but robots. It’s sad, really.

If you are looking for really good, yummy hip hop and R&B, check out almost all of the bands from YG Family, starting with Jinusean then going into 2NE1 and Big Bang. Maybe even check out Master Wu and Perry while you’re at it. They pwn the American mainstream by a lot.

Hey, Mike I think you’ll like the “Wretches And Kings” Video that I made:

  22. justbiteme9 on October 22, 2010 at 6:12 am

Hahahaha… maybe you should buy some but as a replacement, if no one notices the creepy hands or the silver legs you would be able to runaway from the crowd or the silly paparazzi.

  23. frivolouspanda on October 22, 2010 at 5:49 am

    Super creepy.

  27. thegluelpfan on October 22, 2010 at 5:10 am

I still prefer living performers and bands 😀

  28. evooba on October 22, 2010 at 5:03 am

Haha hilarious! xD you should order the 6 of them to look like you guys and then have them on stag instead of you 😛 LOL

  29. AldA on October 22, 2010 at 4:47 am

    I have an idea!
Get 6 of this robots to replace you when you don’t wanna make a show!

  30. redgreeklegend on October 22, 2010 at 4:47 am

This stuff is creepy to me and creates mixed emotions, but nevertheless this is not an upgraded model of Asimo

  31. janemari3 on October 22, 2010 at 4:45 am

i’d like to see this one B-boying or doin a headspin in one of your concerts. She looks like shes used to the pop and lock.

  32. evik90 on October 22, 2010 at 4:39 am

hahah 😀 I won’t be surprised if the robot dances better than the girls after a year of technical progress, lol…

  33. degoicouria on October 22, 2010 at 4:17 am

jeez… and the girls in the back are there for show how realistic the robot is?

youshould have at least 20 of those in your next concert XD!

  34. bradsheaks on October 22, 2010 at 4:17 am

  35. 路人甲 on October 22, 2010 at 4:11 am

At the very beginning i thought it really is a girl until i saw the creepy hands. Anyway, real human dancers are still better than robot for sure.
