A few new reviews and press pieces:

“They are still the kings of the hybrid, and they only get better at it with each album, song, and performance…Their gig at The Staples Center further solidified them as one of the most important rock bands of all time.”  Article here: http://www.artistdirect.com/entertainment-news/article/live-review-linkin-park-the-staples-center-los-angeles/8718527

“All the star singers have influence and power…I went to Haiti (after the earthquake), and we were mobilized, but this is not enough. We made a (relief fundraising) video and put it on our website and YouTube, and it was visited by 6,000 people. Then this band, Linkin Park, incorporated this video into their music, and it was visited by 6 million people.” -UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, from the Variety piece here: http://www.variety.com/article/VR1118032787?refCatId=16

“A Linkin Park concert is a communal experience that borders on spiritual, with a stage steaming as if perched atop the entrance to hell, and a bass line powerful enough to restart your heart, should it become overwhelmed at any point during the show.” Article here: http://www.neontommy.com/news/2011/02/linkin-park-rocks-staples-center-what-we-re-all-about

“They’re kind of like the hard rock equivalent of a Swiss Army knife, a multipurpose thingamabob with lots of different edges, defined primarily by versatility, capable of opening wounds as well as helping mend them.” Article here: http://www.lvrj.com/neon/linkin-park-shines-with-diverse-sound-116576403.html

Mike, I had to comment just to tell you that I was at the show in Denver just other night. I LOVED IT! I can’t even think of the words to tell you how happy I am. I’ve been an LP fan since Hybrid Theory came out, since I was seven. To see you in concert for the first time so much later….. I can’t even describe it! I’m so happy! ^_^ Thank you, Mike, and please, pass my thanks and appreciation on to the rest of the band, if you would, please! Your music means so much to me (I’m sure you hear this all the time XD ) Once again, the concert was AMAZING! Keep up the great work, and never stop smiling!

I couldn’t agree more with each of these reviews! Amazing show! (I know I sound like a broken-record)

  8. emirandakey on February 26, 2011 at 12:26 am

this is really good to read.. i love when we can read anything that shows that Linkin Park / Mike Shinoda cares w/ the world, and they can do more than just to sing/wrote a song… here i can see that u guys deserved to be loved not only from ur music.. but also from ur humanity sense :)

  9. boger7lp on February 25, 2011 at 9:02 pm

very good concept artist and as they seek to change
in their sound but I think the only problem lies not linkin park as if it plays as plays

the problem is that the instruments are very flat (guitar-bass-keyboards-)

the instrumental factor seems forgotten by the band and I think would be best for your music to the instrumental complexity

since in the voices is what best handled and can be seen that mature singing voice, make each member of linkin park to give strength to a song

a lot of “celebrities” have taken up humanitarian causes, but i can’t think of any that have been so active in actually getting things done practically. most have merely served as mascots for causes, you guys are genuinely trying to communicate the need through art and actually help through real action.

i would really like to see you work science into your art. carl sagan always spoke of the emotional power of science, how deeply moving it is to understand the world as it really is, and that artists could communicate this to everyone, if they just tried. i think linkin park is the best group to do this.

    ahauhau Awesome reviews!
    You guys deserve it.
I can imagine how proud/happy you were when you read it ;33

It’s always nice to read reviews about you, especially live ones cause some of those people come to the shows as just regular listeners and leave as fans.So that goes to say how amazing you are :)

  13. fluttergirl87 on February 25, 2011 at 5:42 pm

“capable of opening wounds as well as helping mend them”… yep, pretty friggin accurate

  14. Whitney on February 25, 2011 at 2:51 pm

Mike, it was an honor to attend your concert, thank you for reposting these reviews!

  15. cincybmxlpfreak on February 25, 2011 at 2:34 pm

Wow. Those are pretty amazing reviews. “A bass line powerful enough to restart your heart” isn’t that far from the truth.

Hey Mike. Got a question. I was looking today for record labels in the Las Vegas area that I could intern at and I found this one called Crusader Records. http://www.crusaderrecords.com/ They play “Lying From You” on repeat and say they’re affiliated with you, other artists, Arista, Interscope Records, Virgin, Warner Bros., Priority Records, and Lucas Film THX. I tried to find contact information but I couldn’t. Is this place a phony or the real thing? Let me know cause I hope they’re not using your content without permission. Thanks! :)

Know what is cool? Being a fan of a cool band.
Know what is cooler? Getting to go to one of their concerts.
Know what is cooler than cool (Ice cold!)? Getting to write a review of the concert and having it published.
Know what is the superlative of awesome? Having the band re-post the review.

Yeah… that is my sister. She’s living the good life right now: her day is now made.

    Well done, sir. :-)

Considering that a large portion of the revenue from Projekt Revolution tickets go to Music For Relief, it would be to the benefit of Haiti to bring P.R. to the United States. That, darling, is good press.

Regardless of what I just said, I know it won’t happen. And even if it does, at this point, I am so tired of how screwed up and frankly, terrible Linkin Park Underground has been this year, that I want a refund. I am aware of what it says on the website. But a refund is the only thing that will make it right.

Those journalists can write, no doubt! “The hard rock equivalent of a Swiss Army knife…”, that’s just plain awesome! Good people, who do good things always get good press! Okay, that’s not always true, but this time it is!
