Wow this is really interesting. (i wuld love to go but i live in jamaica…please come to jamaica btw. :))
The colours are very bold. Love that!! But based on the three pics u put up, they seem almost blinding.
Tons of movement! Great use of space! I wish out of these three i would see more background work being done… but i guess its her style.
lol u have good taste mike.🙂

Thank God, the art is back!;-D I’ve never heard of James Jean! His stuff definitely looks great! Other good art shows in LA are 1. INLE at 1988, of course, and 2. the “Torn and Tattered” show at Thinkspace with Craig “Skibs” Barker, Liz Brizzi, and Derek Gores. Also, if you just happen to be in New York during the next month, you should check out Gary Baseman’s “Walking through Walls” show and Andy Kehoe’s “Strange Wanderings” show, both at Jonathan LeVine Gallery. By the way, do you know how much it sucks to write about all those great art shows while sitting at my PC in Germany? Just saying. PS: Art competition on my blog! More info: http://wp.me/p153tN-qi

sigh… I wish I lived in LA… I love all the art you have on your profile, in my country I sometimes see exhabitions in Amsterdam but they are never the same as the exhibtions you show. I just love the abstract colorful art you always update us about (:
I’m jealous of you americans. ^^

Um, wow, this is the first time I have really, really liked someone’s art that you’ve shared here. Not to be rude to the artists you like, we just have VERY different tastes. In any case, I wish I was in L.A. right now.

I dunno, there’s like a kind of rebirth or recycling vibe going on here… It probably makes a hell of a lot more sense when it’s inside Rebus’ head…
