“Iridescent” artwork contest

Our fans have made lots of awesome Linkin Park-inspired artwork over the years. Today, we announced a contest that gives one winner a chance to get their work seen by millions of people. We’re looking for someone to create an original piece of art for our new single, “Iridescent.” The winner will be showcased in front of more than 30 million fans online and will be featured at our performance for the Transformers: Dark of the Moon premiere in Moscow’s Red Square on June 23.

Go here to submit your art or for more info. Submission deadline is June 12.

Here’s my entry. Unless you guys come up with something better, we’re going to use this:

EDIT: We’re already starting to see submissions. Know what I want to see more of? Illustrations and paintings.

    This is a design(mostly photomanipulation) I’ve made for the Linkin Park – Iridescent Artwork Contest. I took a while browsing through the artworks of most of the designers featured.     Dude i started my paintin at 9:30 pm right after working a 8 hour shift XD and i had to force myself to stop at 4am and still not any where close to being finished! My LP love is very strong!! HUGS MIKE!

    Your submission is great! It’s about ten times better than what I can do, so you may have an inkling about my lack of talent. The contest is awesome and I’ve seen some great submissions already!
    It’s pretty funny that I’m doing a similar contest on my site right now. Artists can create the cover art for the next EP by German producer Tonjah and if their submission is chosen they’ll get an iTunes giftcard, CD’s and other cool stuff (If interested click my name ;-D). I must admit that your prize is a tiny bit cooler though. =D

    Linkin Park fans have a very beautiful history of making cool artwork because they learn from the best, i.e. you, Mike. And by “Linkin Park fans” I didn’t mean just the ones living in the States… Well anyhow, it’s not like you’re responsible for the terms and conditions. That particular rule sucks looking through my eyes, but looking through the eyes of the person who’s paying for the winner’s trip to the premiere… it’s the best decision.

    And whoever made THAT picture… was just lazy. I hope.

    Well, traditional art takes longer, so you probably won’t see as much of that so soon, but that’s more likely what my entry will be. 1) I’m more comfortable with a good old fashioned pencil, and 2) I’d need something more than MS Paint to make anything decent digitally.

    The rules didn’t really specify so… I’ll enter if I’m allowed to do pixel art. That’s my current art obsession right now, and something that I really enjoy. Even if I can’t enter with pixel art, I’ll just do one anyways and spam your blog with it like everyone else does.

    I hope “Tyshangshan” enters something. If she doesn’t, I’ll hound her on deviantart until she does, lol.

    BTW I totally love what Soufex did, you should make an exception and let her enter. She has potential to win.
