Hi Mike. Congrats on the success of the event. One of the many reasons why I am (and will continue to be) a fan. The reason I’m actually reaching out is because I co-own an Optometry practice in NYC, and I really want to work with MFR. The idea I had is to create a program in my office to support and raise money on a potential daily basis. My patients would get a discount off glasses to donate to MFR. The discount would be greater than the donation, so everyone’s happy. I emailed Whitney at the address provided on MFR’s website for additional info, and to see if you guys would want to do something like this. Needless to say, hearing back would be awesome! Thanks for all you do. -Yas

wow… that’s so awesome… thank you guys for raising such a high amount :) LP,you and your fans are so wonderful… keep on doing such great things and keep on animating people to donate for people who need help. Without famous people like you such actions won’t work. thanks again <3

What did the money go towards, specifically?

  7. counter17 on October 21, 2011 at 12:08 am

    Found it
NEAL AVRON (if anybody else is wondering who mixed)

  8. counter17 on October 20, 2011 at 11:53 pm

    Mike a random question…

    Who “MIXED” “A THOUSAND SUNS”?

It’s been amazing what you guys have been doing for all these years, hope you guys continue with this! (Also, if I could I would volunteer for MFR ALL the time :) it was so much fun last time at Rock Werchter festival selling earplugs and bandanas, awesome experience!)
We couldn’t wish for any better role models. Thank you guys for that!
Btw, nice new background (pretty nostalgic for me :))
We hope to hear from you & your new masterpiece (=album) soon-

Such a moving video… It brought tears to my eyes. If only more people made the same awesome and noble gesture, the world would go round properly. Be honoured for your wonderful generosity.

You have done a great job. With creativity you have helped people. Only it would be even better if we could see for a particular case money was spent.

I have to keep it real; whether someone’s motivation was based solely on getting something in return, or truly being charitable, either way, the country still benefits, and that’s the heart of the matter.

I do wish that people would start getting back into helping Haiti. Haiti doesn’t have the same resources as Japan, it’s not as easy to rebuild there. Two years later and hundreds of people are still living in tents, it just isn’t right.
