POSTED BY METAL_VALUE (about survey)
Did the survey.. But didn’t seem like the questions would contribute alot to the site personally ^^

M: To be honest, when I wrote the request, I thought the survey was going to be more geared towards the site…I didn’t see the questions until all of you did! HA! But thanks to everyone for answering the questions…it’ll be helpful anyway.

Hey Mike! How’s Chester doing?

M: He emailed me saying he’s recovering well. We’ll let you know when there’s an update.

…i thought it would be nice if you explained how the touring schedule thing works. I say that because now and then a rumor comes up about LP going somewhere they’re not and a lot of fans end up thinking it’s the bands fault or that the band doesn’t want to go to these places, which is not true…I’d like to know why you will not come to Brazil. They were saying that linkin park would come to Brazil on 15 November, but now they are saying you are not coming…

M: FYI, we were never scheduled to come to Brazil in November. I don’t know what went on therel, but I assure you that the band only cancels when circumstances require us to do so (health problems, for example). But sometimes there are nasty concert promoters in the world who will put up false information about a show because it benefits them to have people excited about their concert. The really horrible ones sometimes wait until fans buy tickets, or even wait until you arrive at the show…then they say the band didn’t show up. They essentially trick you into giving them your money. What these people are doing is terrible. Again, the best thing you can do is always check for confirmed tour dates. It’s only official if it’s posted there.

Hi Mike. I commend you for all that you and the band have done for the environment. The only problem I have with your entry is the importing of bottled water. We live in a global economy where everything is dependent on everything else. That person making that bottle,tv,shoe, pants, and etc., depend on us for their livelihood. If America and other industrial nations stop importing goods from other countries like China and other developing countries it would be disastrous. You are essentially putting someone out of a job that they need to survive. Mike, you are in a position of influence and a lot of people look up to you. I hope that you will take the time to consider what I have said here.

M: Sorry, in this case, I think the waste and pollution is the bigger issue. If lead paint on toys poison children, you can’t argue that you that we should turn a blind eye to lead paint production simply because it provides jobs to the workers.

Hey everyone. I’m happy to announce that we are putting together a new live CD/DVD for you guys! We recorded the show at Milton Keynes (Projekt Rev, UK), and we will be releasing it in a DVD/CD combo pack as soon as we can get it done.

However, we’re having trouble naming the album…so we want you to name it!

Please help out by spreading the word. We want as many fans as possible to go to

show cancelled

October 5, 2008

Los Angeles, CA (October 6, 2008) – Linkin Park has been forced to cancel tonight’s concert at the The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel, as lead vocalist Chester Bennington has sustained a back injury and is under doctor’s orders to rest. Linkin Park sincerely regrets this unavoidable cancellation and apologizes to fans for any disappointment caused.

We’re bummed…Chester hurt his back, and is in quite a bit of pain. Please think good thoughts for our friend 🙂

October 3, 2008

Don’t worry, its nothing difficult. My Wikipedia page needs help, and I’d love it if you could help me fix it.

1.) Busta Rhymes feat. Linkin Park “We Made It” (co-produced with Cool & Dre and Timbaland) — incorrect: Timbaland was not involved in the track. The track was produced by me + Cool & Dre.

2.) It says, “In 2003, Mike was asked to be featured on Evanescence’s single “Bring Me to Life,” as stated by fellow band member Chester Bennington in a magazine interview. In the end, Paul McCoy of 12 Stones recorded the vocals instead.” I don’t remember this being said, but even if it was…I was never asked to be on any Evanescence music. Even if Chester said it, this part isn’t true (we all make mistakes)!

3.) Do we have any good writers here? the best writer should help update the section about my art 🙂 It’s a little outdated.

music for relief + hurricane ike

September 17, 2008

Direct Relief International is preparing additional emergency medical material assistance to assist health centers and evacuation shelters serving those affected by Hurricane Ike, which made landfall in Galveston, Texas Friday evening as a Category Two storm.
Four sites received specifically requested materials today via overnight airfreight, generously donated by FedEx:

* Amistad Community Health Center, Corpus Christi, TX
* Texas Association of Community Health Centers (TACHC) Distribution Center, Austin, TX
* Primary Health Services Center, Monroe, LA
* United Community Health Center, Eunice, LA

Since September 1, Direct Relief has supplied its medical safety-net partners in Texas and Louisiana with nearly $400,000 in medical material aid to assist their response to Hurricanes Gustav and Ike.
Two members of Direct Relief’s domestic programs team are in Louisiana surveying evacuation centers and clinics throughout the week. Many evacuation shelters set up for Gustav are now serving those affected by Ike.

At least 100,000 homes were inundated by surging waters in southeastern Texas as a result of Hurricane Ike, the city ofGalveston and other coastal communities were devastated by floods. As of Tuesday 9/16 more than 30,000 evacuees are still living in nearly 300 public shelters, and roughly 2 million people in Texas alone are without power.

Four storms – Fay, Gustav, Hanna and Ike – have hit Haiti since mid-August, killing over 600 people and affecting hundreds of thousands more.
Severe flooding and lack of infrastructure have made it hard to deliver relief to many of the worst affected places, including the port city of Gonaives. Aid workers said tens of thousands of people were huddled in shelters with no food, water, sleeping mats or latrines.

busta leaving projekt revolution

July 27, 2008

busta rhymes has unfortunately had to leave projekt revolution. we were all extremely disappointed to see him go; we enjoyed the energy and personality he brought to the tour, and we looked forward to playing “we made it” on stage with him each night. his departure was due to a number of complicated business matters that were out of anyone’s control. we hope to cross paths with busta again soon!
